Totally. Money is part of it, but we earned another game, even if it's just a primetime scrimmage the stats count and it's a competitive disadvantage if we don't get it.

So glad the aholes who did bowl matchups didn’t match up SU and Colorado in the Holiday Bowl, what a terrible matchup that would have been with both teams apparently not having opt outs. Who doesn’t want to see Colorado play their Big 12 conference mate BYU instead?

Who is next after Louisiana Tech. My guess is the school would be happy to take the check. Have to be like now for a decision. Having to call players back to campus………. Thinking about my bowl trips in the past, I usually booked non refundable flights and rooms to save $$$$$$. It’s getting really late to bail .

I finally am attending a bowl game after 60 years of watching SU football, and it better not be cancelled. I just want to go and have fun. I know the game will be a mess. I doubt the big guns will play after the 1st Q now. But just keep the game.

I think Marshall and the Sun Belt conference are getting a lot of heat from bailing on the Independence Bowl. So other bowls are making sure they aren’t getting played. Especially this close to the game. I saw one guy saying this will affect Marshall getting bowl invites for years because of the way they handled the withdrawal
