honestly, that's a bs statement. it's akin to blaming the fans for all the chaos. It’s because of the foolishness of the “fans”.

Classic bootlicking post.As I stated in a previous post. Many so called insiders really have no clue.
If Fran, the Lally’s, and other donors besides JB decide to leave, it’s not because of a lack of passion and appreciation for Syracuse. It’s because of the foolishness of the “fans”.
None of us know what’s happening behind the scenes at this time, but let’s have faith in the true supporters and boosters we have.
And maybe if some of you charged your time you spend trashing individuals on the internet to NIL, we would win a national championship
I don’t think anyone here doesn’t support Syracuse. I think that’s why the thread got started
You left out that Fran Brown has already devised an exit plan with his agent, that this alleged incident is the start of the destruction of Syracuse athletics and the end of any passion for our city.So is this the recap?
People who have no administrative or executive role with the university may or may not be mad about a hire that was made. These people feel that writing check buys them the right to sway the decision in their favor, not necessarily what’s best for the university. They may or may not be throwing a tantrum and pulling their funding.
What did I leave out?
Can you dig it?
Where is this coming from? Fran just hired the DC from Toledo and is bringing in guys from there Toledo. You left out that Fran Brown has already devised an exit plan with his agent, that this alleged incident is the start of the destruction of Syracuse athletics and the end of any passion for our city.
I think if he didn’t have a kid on the team he would/should have been on it.Why would SU not put Melo on the committee to find the next bball HC? I don't agree with his candidate, but it seems like he should be on the committee if he wants to be. Especially given recent events.
Let's be fair here, OK?Very interesting that it’s crickets now.
Were you and Heather drinking red or white last night? As I stated in a previous post. Many so called insiders really have no clue.

Is there the possibility to mend or has this ship sailed? This could be like the most depressing 30 for 30 doc ever. You left out that Fran Brown has already devised an exit plan with his agent, that this alleged incident is the start of the destruction of Syracuse athletics and the end of any passion for our city.
I'm glad others are calling out Mr Train. This isn't the first post that he's made that's come across as talking down to people who aren't giving enough in his eyes, when the board is full of loyal supporters who have supported SU emotionally and financially to the extent they can for decades.Let's be fair here, OK?
You post got nothing but laughed at and used for jokes. And rightfully so. It's the fans' fault? On a dopey internet message board??? I mean, seriously?
If you refuse to believe what proven insiders are saying, that's fine. No one is forcing you to do that. But to post that they are wrong and to blame the fans for this stupid and childish behavior amongst entitled adults, well, expect to get called out for it.
There's been a lot of it in this thread. People need to read, comprehend, and trust those with a track record or providing solid information.
well said my man.I'm glad others are calling out Mr Train. (Great movie!)
It honestly needs to come from Haynie. This is the Cuban missile crisis for SU. The decisions made in the next few weeks could dramatically alter the future (and maybe already have).I was hoping we would wake up to news that cooler heads have prevailed. All of this sounds like the type of stuff that happens when there is a leadership vacuum. We'll see how good Blair is in the next week or so.
(Great movie!)
This is why nobody seems willing (or capable?) to try and unite the competing factions and their own vested interests—their “turf,” as it were. I mean, as fans, we can all “dig it,” but look what Cyrus got for his troubles...![]()
My two cents is that as long as John and Colby remain right which I'm sure they will football is going to be in good shape.Little more complicated.
As kcsu posted, there are alums involved who love the school, played for the football team and want what’s right. They are also very connected with other alums who also want what’s right. It’s never just one person. You want everyone involved rowing in the right direction.
This goes beyond just one AD candidate and getting their person or not. Easy to simplify it on a message board to folks vs the Lally’s but there was a lot more going on behind the scenes. The leadership vacuum at the school transitioning several major roles didn’t help. And trying to force a terrible candidate in Lyke on everyone else was bizarre.
School should have been more on top of NIL stuff. orange united was a disaster and the organization in charge went bankrupt. It’s harder and harder to support the school when they continue to make their own foolish mistakes.

Too many initials. LolI liked the Haynie pick, but this thread reads like the Lally’s may have corrupted him too. Why else would he not get along with JW. It would appear JW listened to everyone and didn’t bow to the Lallys when they asked. Probably a big reason he was ultimately forced out. Also surprised no one mentioned that AW initially leaving was spearheaded by the Lallys with KS as cover.
The Lally's don't give a dime to hoopDoes Lobdell factor in to this at all? I'd have to imagine he is still one of the biggest basketball donors, although I'm sure it doesnt compare to the Lallys
In order for rich/powerful people to be held accountable for the things they do, you need to have people behind the scenes calling them out on their nonsense, because they are surrounded by yes men.As I stated in a previous post. Many so called insiders really have no clue.

Would that change if we hire Hodgson? The Lally's don't give a dime to hoop
