Bottom line is we need all parties involved to get together and hash it out. Lallys, Burton, Meiers, Melo and every other major NIL donor has been intrical to Syracuses success and we need all of them moving forward. This current situation mostly falls on SU itself. Haynie, Blair and Wildhack need to get on this 6am Monday and get some mea culpas out and get everyone back on track. We need everyone and thats includes getting Weitsman back in the game.

How do you expect 3-4 boosters to get on the same page when we can't even get a dozen posters to agree on anything.

Wow, I know exactly where you’re talking about. I really hope Fran stays. If he has a big year—like making the playoffs or a major bowl game—after this season, I think he deserves a lifetime contract. That’s just my personal opinion, but it really feels like the talent on this team keeps getting better and better. Hopefully the NIL situation sorts itself out too so it can keep helping Fran and his staff.

I’m still confused how that would work? Syracuse has said it’s giving the maximum in revenue share. The collectives are designed to supplement that. How can a school giving the max in revenue share bring collectives in house?

This whole thing still shines a light back on what we criticized AW about in terms of how he wanted to spend his money a certain way and do things his way only to find out that’s basically what many of these guys were doing already… I’ve always found it fascinating as someone who grew up poor and made it up to upper middle class or whatever you call it… if I ever had that kind of wealth like these bigger donors it would be easy to be collaborative and supportive with money I already planned to be for a cause yet it’s so difficult for the upper class to put ego and control aside..

Buildings can be named by function they serve and a note like “ Funded by the greatest alumni and fanbase in the country”. Then a list of the donors by amount can be something looked up in the records instead of on the side of the building with font sizes.
