Anyone know what’s up with SUfootball NIL

That’s the really sad part. We were finally looking in the right direction. And totally unforced errors because we have a new chancellor who wanted to immediately push for a new AD. I mentioned to others before but it made zero sense as a brand new chancellor to rush into a new hire and take on this risk. And and it immediately backfired before your AD even hits campus. There was zero reason to push JW out. Give it a year and then do this all. Egos.
Wow. Sounds like we’re screwed again. I really thought getting a new chancellor and ad was going to help.

So the lallys, our biggest donors & biggest entitled cry babies are now out on us?

We are quite literally screwed financially for basketball and football.
I don’t think anyone is saying they are out. They are saying they are calling the shots. The donor collective for football is out. And maybe Melo and big hoops donors

The Lallys are not out.

But every other major donor essentially is if the Lallys continue to drive the bus without consideration for what others wants to spend their $$

Just about every single thing this University and Athletic Dept. has done for the past 5 years has been ass backwards. It’s clear that these morons cannot prioritize the university and realize we are all looking for the best, most qualified talent. It’s deplorable
5 years? You’re too nice. Try 35.

And I know this is supposed to be about football, but Melo sits very close to 2 high power SU guys who are tremendously involved. And one is very very very close to Melo. And if melo says stop
Supporting the way you do, look out. Would be awful for bball. And if the other guy listens to that guy, football will take a huge hit as well.

If all these guys were on the same page, JRHEETER said it- SU would be ELITE. There is nothing they couldn’t accomplish
This may be hard to hear but after this year I always thought it might be a good idea to have Melo take a step back short term. It’s just way too personal. I know we can’t lose his support long term but it’s just days since we all had to watch another embarrassing year and this is his kid.

Personally I would not be thinking clearly. Maybe we can’t afford to lose his support for even a year or even a month but especially for him it’s way too close to home.

No excuses for the other powerbrokers involved but the way I think about it is they were always going to have to straighten their BS out anyway. When people started floating Hopkins i knew things were going to get worse before they got better.

Or maybe. we just hope that march madness becomes 128 teams real fad and that’s how we get back in.

No. Melo is always trying to do what’s right for SU hoops. I want him more engaged not less.
