With people like Melo it isn’t always about what he throws in but what he can help is get others to throw in
 
So is this the recap?

People who have no administrative or executive role with the university may or may not be mad about a hire that was made. These people feel that writing check buys them the right to sway the decision in their favor, not necessarily what’s best for the university. They may or may not be throwing a tantrum and pulling their funding.

Fran and agent are already preparing contingency exit plans if true I would guess..You know what the boy scouts say...
 
Is there not a way to put some real pressure and heat on the lallys via social media to push them to play ball? We aren’t a large community but if enough followed the same script to engage and call out this BS…

Maybe start with anyone here who has an X account loading up comments on the Lally foundation recent tweet demanding they stop trying to take over and put both major sports at risk and focus on working together to maximize the total investiment into NIL for both…

This isn't all on the Lally's as noted Syracuse itself has caused some issues with keeping certain people in the loop and others out of it and we have other factions that don't feel they were treated appropriately. Blair and the new chancellor need to get together with all involved and get the situation cleaned up yesterday.

Fair enough but there has to be a pressure point somewhere to lean on…. Or multiple for that matter…

Agree 100% There needs to be defined lines between Employees, BOT and donors. Seems like there were no lines. Reeks of Tamany Hall for you old enough to remember. If not look it up. I am truly a fool believing that the real crooks were politicians, insurance companies and Big Pharma. Shows what I know. I’m tired way past my bed time. Truly hope it all pans out. Too much drama for me. I just want to enjoy good basketball and football from the team I’ve followed since my dad carried on his shoulders into Archibald in the late 50’s. I guess I watch General Hospital with my wife. Im out

Just to say it again for the __nth time. College athletics. What the heck happened?

“Athletes bring in so much money to the school we have to pay the players! But raise money from the community in a fund separate from the university that is managed by something somehow! But yes millionaires actually have the most money because they are millionaires, so we need them the most! And because they have the most they also want to do more stuff, so they need to be included in decisions for reasons. But how many should be? Should all? What’s the entry fee to sit at the table to choose the next su athletic dept employee? And if they aren’t they will be upset. And maybe they won’t donate as much. And maybe their hair falls out like Walter Sobchak’s ex wife’s Pomeranian. And if they don’t donate, the players won’t get paid. So then the players won’t play. So then we lose games. So we need more money. So please donate!”

Life is a circle and we are all just water.
