BC Postgame

I agree, but we also could have lost some of the close games we won (Youngstown St, LeMoyne, Colgate). So we are probably right where we should be recordwise.
Just because we’ve identified our ceiling doesn’t mean you have to counter with our floor. Not to mention those games were a long time ago, when the team was still jelling. Red turned over most of the roster and the new guys were not accustomed to playing in the Dome.

Bottom line, Starling was not available for ND, Georgetown, and Wake Forest. It’s not the same thing.

It's less restrictive to have them untucked.
I seriously didn't think they were supposed to do that until I saw them do it a few other times. I would swear in past years the refs would tell them to tuck them in. Is it a rule change or amI imagining things.

It doesn't matter that those games were a long time ago or that the team was still gelling. The fact of the matter is they could have easily lost those games just as much as the team could have won the games vs Notre Dame, Georgetown or Wake. So in the end their record is probably where it should be. It's nice to see them beat two very bad ACC teams and hopefully this will give them momentum for a much tougher game vs Louisville.

They could also be 0-16, why bring it up? This isn’t a matter of winning and losing close games. Their record is only where it should be without Starling.

A few thoughts after sitting a few rows behind our bench.
-after Bell hit the side of the backboard and jogged back, complaining to the refs, Red basically threw Cuffe towards the scorers table. He tried to talk to Bell and Bell just blew right by him. For the rest of the game Bell sat slumped down in his chair. This has happened so many times you just have to wonder if Red has finally had enough.
-i’ve been going to Syracuse games at BC since the 90s and I don’t remember a game where the percentage of Syracuse fans was as high as today. We may have had more fans at certain games when we were obviously better but it felt like it was 8020 today. As you guys heard on TV the Let’s Go orange chant was outstanding.
-as disappointing as this season has been, it struck me how into this game the entire bench was with the exception of Bell. Donnie in particular was very engaged. The staff was all in. Red was pretty fired up, particularly after Carlos hit the three.
-today clearly demonstrated what everybody but apparently Red knew. There was never any reason to play Carlos the minutes he was getting.
-before and after the game, our guys were very accommodating to the fans who wanted autographs and pictures. We spent a couple minutes talking to Donnie and He comes across as a really nice kid. He wouldn’t say when he thinks he would be back and explained he didn’t know.

Thanks for sharing.

I've been rooting for Bell as well as the others but when he hit the side of the board and the ball bounced towards him he never even moved to get it and the BC kid ran and grabbed it...glad Red took him out on the spot.
