Mack brown and Beamer could get by for a long time with athletic qbs because so many other schools were stupidly trying to be pro style. Now that other schools saw that low hanging fruit too, brown and Beamer stopped being able to score with their old offenses

Beamer was always defense, specials, run the ball and have an athlete at QB. They just need fresh blood. With their recruiting territory, facilities, fan base, it's ripe for a resurgence with the right hire. I wouldn't hire Bud Foster though

it's harder for them to find good athletes at QB now that a lot more schools are putting athletes back there. it's so much like SU 15 years ago.

NJ South moved the ball a bit in its opening drive. VPI hasn't done anything. I'm sure the rain isn't helping either offense.
