Do the cooking outside. Don’t want a grease fire inside the dome. Are they going to cook and eat him?

NO, its wrong in your opinion. But what I said is being spoken about openly on many shows today. And if you think all NFL doors are closed you aren't paying attention. They are closed today and right now, tomorrow is a different story. It's a fluid situation. There are crazy owners out there and it only takes 1 to say get me him. Especially if he has success year 1 at UNCYeah, this is all wrong.
1) UNC would be welcomed with open, loving arms into the B1G or SEC the second they decide to leave the ACC. They certainly don't need Belichick for that.
2) He's literally taking this job because all the NFL HC doors are closed. And they ain't reopening for a 74 year old who flaked off to college.
Billy knows how to scheme em openHe can pound the portal and bang 24 year olds. Dream scenario for him
It actually wasn’t. Brady took team friendly contracts for most of his career. He finally demanded to be paid market rate in 2019… and that’s when he and the Pats parted ways.I can see that because a lot of that hard salary cap was Brady.
Yeah I know nothing about Bill Belichick and his ongoing career circumstance. What a dunce I am.NO, its wrong in your opinion. But what I said is being spoken about openly on many shows today. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM SNORTING AND GRUNTING AT THE MEDIA.This is the oddest press conference I’ve ever seen
It’s funny, I asked my 17 year old last night what he thought about this. He said he thinks Bill’s going to hate dealing with all the day to day stuff for his players. The missed classes, run ins with campus security, fights, DUIs and all the other assorted bullsh!t that dominates the lives of college students. What until he has start dealing with the donors and boosters. Or a homesick 18 year old. Or has a kid with grade issues. Or has to do an in home visit in rural Alabama.
I have the gut feeling this is going to be epically bad and I’m all for it.
He’s spent the last year trying to rehabilitate his personna. He did it to get an NFL gig, of course. But I wonder if he’ll be different in that regard at UNC?I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM SNORTING AND GRUNTING AT THE MEDIA.
i wonder how all that bs will go over on tobacco road. worst part of the belichick mystique was farting on the local media for asking questions like "walk me through the play on 2nd and 9..." answer: "its the play we called"
yup. And if he's not willing to deal with the minutiae, it'll be used against him on the recruiting trail too. He has to focus on the portal pretty much exclusively. It’s funny, I asked my 17 year old last night what he thought about this. He’ll have his staff deal with most of that, but Bill’s too much of a control freak to not involve himself somehow.
That aspect of it will be a glorious mess.
Well I mean sure there's that.I'm beating a dead horse here but why are there several assumptions that BB is going to do anything that is considerably better than what Alabama, Georgia, Texas, OSU are already doing?
These are high-powered, heavily-funded programs that have been developing NFL talent for years.
UNC is a mediocre program in the ACC which has been taken over by an incredibly expensive senior citizen who has never worked with college players. I don't care about farming out the relationships to his assistants; you can't be the head coach and have no relationship with players.
This is silly. On what planet would UNC fall out of favor with the B1G and SEC? Are they in danger of not being one of the preeminent public universities with a gigantic fan base and a legendary history of athletics success?
2023: Deion's first game at Colorado- TCU 2025: Belichick's first game at UNC - TCU
cranks get cranky when the cranky gets going. He’s spent the last year trying to rehabilitate his personna. He did it to get an NFL gig, of course. But I wonder if he’ll be different in that regard at UNC?
There’s a piece by Seth Wickershan that ran today which details how Bill and his crew (Patricia, McDaniels, Lombardi, etc.) did a weekly Zoom call to discuss the state of the NFL, weekly matchups, what teams could be landing places for Bill and the like.Bill is going to be furious at the lack of attention to detail from a roster of 100 college kids. You think he can bench his top NIL guy at RB because he fumbles in a game? If you were a Pats fan for the Belichick Era you can see all the reasons this is going to blow up.
I Believe Bill's biggest problem will be convincing the Mother's he is the right coach for their son's.There’s a piece by Seth Wickershan that ran today which details how Bill and his crew (Patricia, McDaniels, Lombardi, etc.) did a weekly Zoom call to discuss the state of the NFL, weekly matchups, what teams could be landing places for Bill and the like.
It got me thinking that there may be a real “romantic” element to this move by Bill. He’ll assemble his band of lackeys, live in a beautiful college town, and turn around a consistently underachieving program. It’s like Hoosiers.
His spiel about creating an NFL feeder program seemed so ignorant to me. Like, other college coaches aren’t trying to lure players to their schools by telling them they’ll develop them for the pros?
I mean, in his last few years in New England, Bill wasn’t particularly good at identifying college players who could be good in the NFL. Now he’s going to have some magic system to develop guys and send them off to the league with guarateed success?
I love Bill, he gave me 20 years of football bliss. But this whole thing is weird.
This hiring signals the end of college football as we know it! College football will rapidly resemble Pro sports. UNC has committed 50 million to BB ... and the expectation is that the Big Donors will be jumping over each other to give big money! Where does this leave Syracuse in terms of this financial Arms Race? We have a great Coach, who understands recruiting, can deal with young players, and can recognize talent. I like our position...but, it is going to take more and more money each year to be great!I Believe Bill's biggest problem will be convincing the Mother's he is the right coach for their son's.
