Really difficult to read that. Not so much specific to Bennie either, but the comments about the OTHER guy and the macro issues going onSome interesting thoughts from Etan and DC.
Derrick Coleman isn't confident Benny Williams will be back next year
Etan Thomas speaks with Derrick Coleman about the Syracuse men's basketball team and the future of Benny Williams.www.basketballnews.com
Two guys JAB probably respects. At least we hope so.Some interesting thoughts from Etan and DC.

They’re certainly taller than 5’2.Two guys JAB probably respects. At least we hope so.
None of it really surprised me though. From insiders here, I've read similar posts so many times on this forum that once Hop left, we had no one left to keep up guys spirits who may be struggling, getting the shaft on PT, and/or waiting their turn to play.Really difficult to read that. Some have been saying this, and most of those folks went radio silent when (until the Duke 2 blowout) he displayed an alarming lack of basic skills in the minutes he played. Most have been saying this for a while.
I don’t know how this negativity from former players helps us. Yes we want JB to retire, but we don’t want to make the next guy’s job even harder. We need to keep and retain talent. I love DC and Etan, two of my favorites of all time, but I wish these two would “keep it real” outside of a public forum. Some interesting thoughts from Etan and DC.

It doesn't. Especially when Coleman hasn't been around all year. I don't think he is tied in to Benny at all.I don’t know how this negativity from former players helps us. Not saying they’re wrong. But even Etan seems a little clueless about the landscape. He’s like, if I was the Maryland coach, I’d be on the horn to Benny saying, come here and you won’t have to deal with this nonsense. But Maryland doesn’t even have a head coach right now! They’re a mess. And Ewing is about to get the boot at Gtown. It doesn't. Especially when Coleman hasn't been around all year. I don't think he is tied in to Benny at all.

I saw Wallace in the stands in Brooklyn this week.Did DC even come back for Alumni Weekend?
JDub and Moten were at games all the time this year.
Is it really "negativity' if its true? Both guys are good with JB, they're not out to hurt him or the program. But they're also fans, and they're not blind and stupid. It's glaringly obvious that something has gone off the rails, especially these last 2 years.I don’t know how this negativity from former players helps us. Maybe he can get Benny and Frank over there.Helps that Moten lives a couple minutes from the Dome. I saw him lifting weights in his front yard last night.
