Best SU Football podcast

our first game ended a few hours ago. I went over to the Post Standard beat writer Twitter page, and these are the last tweets. Not one tweet about post game presser, updates, injuries, etc. very odd.

Odd is the right word, all he tweeted all game was which players were injured which anyone who was watching could already see. Just a few years ago my twitter feed would be filled with local media/blogger tweets every two seconds with updates and observations. Now its a ghost town.

What is it?

Don't say Axe. I can't listen to him and that voice for any length of time.

Locked ON Syracuse feels like a well-intentioned filibuster.

What is actually good?
Laughing at 'well intentioned filibuster'. So true. Like many, many podcasts, he's searching for that magical 10+ minutes of airtime no matter how little there is to say.

Locked On (Anything) is a money grab. They are a podcast network that doesn't care about podcasts, they're just trying to capitalize on all major sports franchise fan bases and sell ads.

Agreed. But also Joe Marino for Locked on Bills does an amazing job. Every day is at least something useful and interesting. He does film analysis as well which definitely helps

I'm sure some of them are good. I used to listen to Locked On Angels, but the hosts got changed and it was just an ad fest. Was listenable for a while, but I just don't like supporting podcasts like that.

Hard pass on this one and locked on. I find them Ill-informed I’ve tried both. The ESPN Radio shows - well now one show - are significantly better, and I’m told they put the shows online for later listening, although I usually listen at work.

Hope Brian Higgins gets into podcasting about SU sports now that he’s a free agent
I liked Higgins but I must admit the new kid is pretty good.

Haha so true! always feels like he is adding words trying to stretch for time

Brian Higgins is off the radio ? Wha happa???
I’m a fan so I’ll def watch whatever he does next

Tim Leonard has a new show on the radio. Drive time. If people in Syracuse ever want a local show we better support this one. Tim is going to treat the show like a podcast. Going to be an hour long and focus on SU. Tim is very talented and I will be tuning in.
The show is available through Apple as a pod.

I think Jackson for Locked On has a bright future. Id like to see anyone here do anything better on a DAILY podcast about Syracuse Orange sports. There's only so much that can be spoken about in the offseason
He is better than his predecessor. But he dissed Shrader so I put him in the box for awhile!
