I'm glad to see ET has managed to make a post unrelated to Caitlin Clark. You can say what you want about Pearl off the court, but as far as I've been able to tell most if not all of his players have loved playing for him.

Not a fan but gotta be honest, don't have a beef with how he played his departure. Taker care of his son giving him a program that is in excellent shape, gets out while he still has his fastball (or seems to), etc. I can think of some other family related transitions that didn't leave the program in as good of shape.

I do find it funny how some of these big names (ahem Saban, Dabo and now Pearl) are getting out or struggling to adapt just as the cheating is leveling out for everyone.

to be fair, i think resumes are overrrated. Boeheim never coached before he got the Syracuse job, for example

i think so many people in all walks of life have jobs they shouldnt have simply bc they have a "great resume"...and a lot of former players who are very well liked suck as coaches
