Fran would also have intel from Vince so I’m sure he’s not upset.Fran & Blair are basically the same age. He’s already all in on Haynie so I’d have a hard time believing they wouldn’t get a long as well. and I bet Blair shares the exact same dream and plan Fran does for our program.
Yep and I’m good with it. Age doesnt always mean better or more experience. Give me some youth and enthusiasm.I will go on record and state that 40 is very young to be an athletic director, especially at the P4 level
Going from Kent, Wildhack, Autry to Haynie, Blair, Hodgson would be the exact shot in the arm this university needs.Yep and I’m good with it. Age doesnt always mean better or more experience. Give me some youth and enthusiasm.
Not a curveball. richmondcuse03 has been on this one for some time. One of 4 interviewed. At first glance seems qualified and reads well. I don't like curveballs but this one doesn't seem all that terrible. Just don't want another curveball with the basketball coach.
Which of you took him to the Marriott bar the night before? It was shared within our circle that Carp bombed his interview
Someone slipped him a Micky. Apparently he showed up butt-naked wearing nothing but a Georgetown speedoWhich of you took him to the Marriott bar the night before?![]()

Very encouraged about this hire on first impression. We would be so bored if it weren’t for a few special folks like you, dasher richmondcuse03 AZOrange whobut03. We actually have fun and exciting stuff to discuss soon! Not a curveball. richmondcuse03 has been on this one for some time. One of 4 interviewed.
With that same sentiment, you can actually say the records of Football, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball have declined since he’s been there. Winning, but still records going down.the big thing though is him getting them the resources they need to be competitive. Especially at a small school like Toledo.
You mean Carp-et bombed? It was shared within our circle that Carp bombed his interview
I'm concerned with whether he has the stature to help us through future realignment. Not strong experience in P4.Seems like a good hire to me.
I think I would have preferred Carp due to his industry connections and positioning us for realignment down the line, was seemingly a bigger "heavy hitter" in the industry. But hey if we win and have great NIL, this seems like it would be great and conference realignment would sort itself out
It’s the only way to get new ideas. SU needs to change things up. Blair is a great communicator and very articulate. I can see where he would be very impressive in an interview. It doesn’t hurt that Keyes is on staff and he can vouche for what kind of administrator and person he is. He seems authentic and not afraid to rock the boat and venture into new pathways. A Midwest guy is also in the neighborhood of Josh Shertz. Might not mean anything, but it might open him up to be a serious candidate. I will be delighted if it’s either Shertz or Hodgson.Yep and I’m good with it. Age doesnt always mean better or more experience. Give me some youth and enthusiasm.
