Buffalo Bills 2017 Why do I put myself through this season thread

Brandon Beane in his press conference said the offense will look a lot different than preseason with Tyrod at QB. "We will see Tyrod's bread and butter plays".

Makes more sense now. Dennison wanted Tyrod in Denver which is nonsensical if they were going to force him into the offense we've seen him run in the preseason. Tailor made for Peterman but Tyrod needs more rollouts/shotgun/playaction.

I thought the Jets might make a pitch for Tyrod back when he was available, because a QB who can run for his life is an absolute requirement in Floral Park.

At first I thought you couldn't give away tickets for the Jets-Bills games this year. But then it occurred to me they might be really hot items because each home team's fans would see it as their chance to actually win a game this year.

Bills are much better than a 1-win team despite what the talking heads and battered Bills fans might tell you.

Heck, that's certainly possible. And I wrote that thinking of Taylor's head smacking the turf like I saw on the news. Geez, they can't afford to lose him. And anyway, both teams are certainly better after having shed the brothers Ryan.

Every year, everyone picks us to win 4-5 games and every year, we win 7-9 games.

Assuming we make the obvious cuts, I feel better after hearing Beane's comments on the offense with Tyrod moving forward and if he misses anytime, I'm officially excited to see Peterman in regular season game action.

Our defense should keep us in every game. It's up to the offense to get itself in gear. The way Peterman has looked and hearing the offense will fit Tyrod's skill set, makes me open minded to see what we look like and not post tank gifs every other post until we see what we have in this team.

Hell, theganggreen.com has entire threads devoted to tanking, LOL! Man, that's a dark place sometimes! :)

Because it was against guys who won't make anyone's roster.
True, but I will say that Webb did more in 40 seconds than Nassib did in 4 years.

He's shown enough that I feel the Giants can cut both smith and johnson and go with 2 QBs, banking on Eli going 16-16. Need the roster spot for a FB and a 4th TE.

I'm always the optimist but I sincerely like the structure of this team for a playoff push. Dareus, Shady, Tyrod, and Glenn need to stay healthy.

The defense is going to be Top 10ish and Shady/JWill will certainly be able to run the ball behind that line. We just need Tyrod to step up his game on 3rd and long. That's the key. He has to hit some 3rd and longs or this offense will not be able to sustain long drives and maintain time of possession. We were explosive and scored points last year but could not sustain those long 10-15 play, time consuming drives that save your defense's energy, change field position, and deflate the other team.

Great point. I feel like Peterman can move the chains better while Taylor give us the big play ability. One of them has to show they can do both to prove we don't need to draft a QB with all our ammo next year.

Watching this replay... how dumb is Steve Tasker? Loved loved loved him as a player but he is a big time dipshit.

Reilly cut. Ugh.. Thought he had the looks of a solid outside WR.

Hopefully he makes it back to the practice squad. Made some solid plays in the preseason games and I thought he'd make it but I'm also not at practice or in the film room everyday.

Every year the preseason darling gets cut and TBD freaks out. Currently throwing stones at coaches, management, guys like Tolbert and Philly. Cracks me up. I don't have the patience to post over there.

I'll holster my H0T Takes over Reilly being cut until I see what they do with Ducasse. My goodness, help me Jesus if they keep Vlad.

Vlad appears to have made it. Those nude pics of Terry Pegula are really paying off for him. And we also traded Kevon Seymour to the Panthers for a WR who has never caught a pass and a 7th rounder.

Buffalo Bills trade CB Kevon Seymour to Panthers for WR Kaelin Clay (report)
No idea how Vlad is STILL on this team. At least it seems they've comes to their senses and realized John Miller is a pretty good RG.

I don't mind the Seymour/Clay trade. I like what we have at DB in White, Gaines, Wright, Johnson and Mabin. Seems the staff thought Johnson and Mabin outplayed Seymour which made him expendable. Clay has speed at WR and Return Man, so I guess that's useful.

I've been ok with the moves made up to this point and I'll wait to see what they look like on the field but I'm starting to get a little concerned by the Jonathan Williams cut and Vlad still being on this team. I'm starting to cringe when I periodically refresh the Bills Messageboard to see what's transpired throughout the days moves.

The Williams cut makes no sense at all zero. This front office is getting into Matt Millen territory
