Buffalo Bills 2017 Why do I put myself through this season thread

So if I'm doing the math correctly:

  1. Bills trade 2nd round pick and 2 4th round picks for a 2nd round pick.
  2. Bills select Ragland with that 2nd round pick.
  3. Bills trade Ragland (essentially the 2nd round pick) for a 4th round pick
So all together, the Bills traded a 2nd round pick and a 4th round pick for nothing.

It's best not to think about it as your head will hurt and you will question why your follow this franchise. Just think about those six picks in the first 3 rounds and pray we don't screw it up. Would be nice if we picked up a few late picks in the draft, not sure we have much after the 3rd round in next years draft.

I'm thankfully a Bucs fan first so I at least have some hope this season haha. I'm from Rochester though and come from a Bills family so I always root for them to be good too.

Shocked we got a 4th. Even if it's a 2019 it can still be used as ammo to trade up in 2018 for QB.

Ragland was going to either get cut or ride the pine all year. Good move by the 1BD in my opinion.

Bills gonna Bills.

Incredible how many draft picks now are effectively wasted from the last five years. I'm all for building through the draft but holy smokes they better use their picks wisely...

Funniest thing I've read in awhile. But then again, it is the Bills.

Where have you seen that? Searched on Twitter but couldn't find anything.
It's on "The Stadium Wall" MessageBoard.

Apparently it was mentioned on their local sports radio and "reportedly" Pegulas jet is in Phoenix.

He started to come on last year. Guess it would be good value for a 4th rounder. But I'd only send the jet to Phoenix to pick up Larry Fitzgerald. JJ can ride commercial :)

Interesting. He's a small guy but could definitely provide the deep threat this team sorely needs. Think he's only worth a 2019 4th round pick though? Seems like there'd have to be a little something else there to sweeten the pot.

I'd think so too. The guy is definitely talented and it seems they could get more than a '19 4th but then again, we out here trading 2nd Rounders for 4th's a year after we draft them so I guess anything is possible.

JJ ran a 4.28 at the 2015 combine. Weighs 156 pounds. Yikes to both those things.

Finally getting to watch the replay. Have to keep telling myself: I know it's preseason, I know it's preseason, I know it's preseason...

...but Peterman looks like I haven't seen a Bills QB look in years.

...I know it's preseason.

The New York Football Giants QBs went 29-39 349yds 2 TDs and NO INTs v the new england freakin patsies last night!!

Brandon Reilly better make this roster.

If he can't learn to fall without smashing his head against the turf, it won't matter if he does make the roster. Guy seems like a concussion waiting to happen. I counted at least 4 times yesterday where his head slammed against the ground real hard. Was amazed he got up each time.

True, but I would be excited about a (when healthy) WR grouping of Jones/Mathews/Reilly/Streater and whoever else.

At first I thought you couldn't give away tickets for the Jets-Bills games this year. But then it occurred to me they might be really hot items because each home team's fans would see it as their chance to actually win a game this year.

Brandon Beane in his press conference said the offense will look a lot different than preseason with Tyrod at QB. "We will see Tyrod's bread and butter plays".

Makes more sense now. Dennison wanted Tyrod in Denver which is nonsensical if they were going to force him into the offense we've seen him run in the preseason. Tailor made for Peterman but Tyrod needs more rollouts/shotgun/playaction.
