They have quietly been building a nice squad there down the road. This is a good looking football team with size and athleticism. Don't know too much about the coaching but I can see why we haven't been too enthused about playing them the last few years. very little to gain.

`Syracuse is scared of Buffalo, at least that's the way it looks.

You're aware that football schedules get put together years in advance, right?

A quick perusal of Buffalo's schedule shows they don't have an opening until the 2023 season. If they agree to a 2 for 1, I'd book them. But to say we're scared of them is ludicrous. Are we scared of Eastern MIchigan, too? We haven't played them in 20+ years.

A Orange/Bulls rivalry would be the best thing that could to football in NYS. Syracuse Athletic Department and supporters need to stop living in the past.
I disagree but that’s OK to disagree.

developing a rivalry with a MAC school wouldn’t do squat for Syracuse. It would be quite a thrill for Buffalo though, I’m sure. Syracuse would never care.

And I’ll tell you this...the wings in Buffalo aren’t really any better than they are in any other upstate town.

Oh great, is Buffalo going to become New York's College Football team as well? ;)

UB is building a really solid MAC program, one of the best in that conference, but they don't get a lot of support. Buffalo is a Bills town

I’m scared of the Buffalo that Westside Gunn raps about.

The football and bball team? No. It’s funny how whenever one of them has their one really good season every 10 years, a few people on here want to cheerlead for them.
I was put onto Undertaker vs. Goldberg via Mickstape I was impressed

Ive played “Mr. T” too many times to count. So good.

Speaking of Buffalo football, jumping all aboard the “let’s hire Turner Gill!” train a decade ago taught me to shutup when it comes to football coach hires. I was really convinced that I knew something back then. Nope.

I am afraid to ask but I have to. How did you come to this conclusion?
Well, I see that in every other state the P5 schools will schedule in state G5 schools very often.and here in NY SU will not schedule UB almost at all. Doesn't seem like a huge conclusion to jump to. We have lost all of our traditional regional rivals, maybe this would be a game that upstate people could become emotionally invested in.

UB’s pitt jr.

little brother in state and we already play sr. We have zero to gain playing my alma mater.
So your saying we're scared to lose to them. If SU was a real P5 team, they would schedule them, drill them and laugh at them.

We play Pitt and BC every year and have Rutger the next 2 years. We beat WVU in the Camping World bowl. Played Maryland this year. Again, I disagree with your premise.

Also, recruiting in Buffalo is virtually non-existent.

Yeah, it does. Not scheduling someone does not mean we're "scared" of them.

But you know that.

No offense but this is small time thinking. Nobody in Syracuse should care about playing UB and nobody in Buffalo is going to care about playing Syracuse.
