Where else could've we gone? The ACC is the only power conference that has a decent proportion of mid-sized private schools--outside of Vandy, Northwestern and eventually USC, the B10 and SEC are entirely flagship state schools. We aren't cultural fits for the B10 or SEC and the Big 12 would be an even worse geographical fit than the ACC.

Everyone assumed his past salesmanship issues were JB's fault, as if it was either/or. Fact is Gerry is unproven in this department and we apparently don't have enough NIL to compensate right now, whether it be a Gerry issue or a brand issue. Or both.

If the new staff shows the ability to maximize the talent they do have and donors/fans stay patient to realize we need to build back our reputation, we will be handpicking who we want in no time. No shortcuts in rebuilding this thing the right way. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's reality. The quicker we all accept that, the better off you will feel and the better it will be when we get back there.

We have convinced 9 guys to come here including Sadiq, an Autry recruit. We don’t know the batting average but it’s hard to say that without a finished roster. BH struck out on nearly every big named big out there to be left with an awful settle for the NW big man and a Yale backup.

We all wanted him and think he would have done well at the 5 for us. Now he goes to play the 4 for great money and less minutes. He spent a year getting trashed online it appears by CU fans due to not coming close to expectations. Hiding amidst a logjammed frontcourt is a much less exposed role and if you can get paid handsomely in that role …good for him.

Here he would have been skewered but ten fold if he took that bag and didn’t perform well.

They are paid players and recruiting is easy now and not important. We just write a check. Clearly not the case. If they don’t want to play here then we need to fix the reason. In the meantime we need a coach like a Fran brown type that can sell it. Gmac and staff aren’t closing, That the facts. St. John’s couldn’t recruit. Pitino came in sold the dream then brought money in and he turned it around. Cal did the same thing at Arkansas.

Well at least you’ll have six years to see if GMAC can get it done!
