And - add in the existing relationship he had with the coach, and it was clear for a while that we were gonna be the bridesmaid again on this one.

There’s no amount of just recruit HARDER!! that can overcome those things.

It was an effort to save others. A good deed never goes unpunished. Ps one doesn’t know what the hades he s in the thread until you read an unlimited number of abbreviated posts.?in this case I was wondering why so much ink. Is he potential coming to Su did he change his mind etc.?the topic on thread is not al system too accurate.?” I don’t want to have to read a book to find out if this guy was a potential rare center actually interested in Syracuse.?then the topic meanders. Sorry I’m not in the boards in crowd. Just an avid Su fan

Correct. And, believe it or not, some kids grow up supporting other teams or don't wanna play locally.

He is far from that his players to a man ADORE him! I also know him personally as I have coached both Patrick and Connor in my AAU program - he is much closer to his players than (based on what I read here) JB is to his.

Never met him or his children but I'd bet 100-1 not one of his players would use the word adore when explaining their feelings about their coach. ;)

James Thomas? Kid was good, I think at the FF in 2003 I read that we never recruited him and wasn't happy about it. But that was a long time ago and well Bourbon St is there. So take it with grain of rye.

Yeah, that's him. I couldn't remember the time he actually played there. My wife is from Schenectady, so stuff like that always pops to me when I see it.
 
What about Tiki Mayben. Kid was once the number one recruit in his class. We got beaten out by Binghamton. Someone should have been fired to send a message on that one.

No, we didn’t get beaten out by Binghamton. He had trouble. Played Junior College for a year and dominated. Friends saw him play against SUNY Cobleskill. We didn’t hold a scholarship for him.
