From the same source as the earlier tweet I quoted, Davis claims he was offered by Clemson, Kentucky, Miss. St., and Mizzou.

Rivals is reporting offers from Clemson, Miss St., Kentucky, and Missouri. I will take a tailback with those offers any day of the week. Daniels would be a huge bonus but even if we don't get him I'm really happy to have a quality back aboard. Way to go Ty Wheatley.

I'm guessing it was a typo, and that his REAL 40 time is 3.93.

He had a workout in front of the staff about a week ago as I understand it and that's how he got our offer.

Here's a little bit of video from the combine where he ran the 4.42 (Best of the Midwest). David Perkins was there too - I'm guessing that this is where we might have first seen Davis.
