Clemson ticket sales at the moment.

The people are gonna be there for this one. Big buzz out here to the West with people asking me the best way to get tix. These are people who normally don't inquire so its a very positive sign.

The Dome will be in a frenzy at kick-off just hoping we can hang and the LOUDHOUSE takes over in the second half. Need a quick start in this one.

I'm so ready for this game.

Out of curiosity where are you from?

Thorough Count:

1st-
664 - If you go look at my last post you'll see this went up. I think they opened up all the seats on first level. (good thing)
2nd- 1,068 - Seats are selling here even though I think there are some blocked off.
3rd- 4,830 - Down 700 from when I started which was Sunday.
Available on Stub Hub- 759

Possible Blocked Seats- In the back of the second level I think these are blocked off until the fronts sell. Same with the third level.

Based purely on what is shown now on ticket master and assuming what is available on stub hub doesn't sell we are at 42k. Of course this is assuming the students show up and fill their section which I think they will come to this one. Maybe not fill it but close. Also assuming Clemson fills their sections 313-315 and whatever else they have.. I think first level in the corner.

What do I think we are actually at with the box office holding seats? I would say 40.5k based purely off what looks to be blocked off sections with unsold seats in front of them. This not including a walkup for homecoming. We still have more than a full week to get up for 45k ish and I think we can do it. Hopefully we get the 3:30 slot and SU starts advertising when the time is announced.

GO ORANGE!

just how many football programs have 700 wins? you can argue the programs were equal until the start of the 2000's. A better basketball program for 13 years makes you known for that?
we're # 5 in all time bball wins, #15 in all time d1 football wins. at a glance the only other school in the top 2o of both is ND... that is very impressive. SU needs to do a better job making that known to the public

Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the country. Don't sell it short. Syracuse is the MECCA for high school lax players. Bigger than Bama is for football.

we may not all agree on things in here, but i think EVERYONE can agree that the marketing done by the school is well below what we would hope for.

this means nothing to most of the country

Lax is our primary spring sport - has been for years. And we are the best program in the nation at it, regardless of what you think most of the country has to say.

As is mentioned above, it is also becoming more and more popular - both at the youth level and on television.

Regardless of the segment of the population our lax success reaches, it should be noted.

Just talked to my brother who is now a Sr. at Cuse and says the student section is just about sold out...He said he had to buy an extra tix for a friend and that it was section 307...There were only a few more rows left in that section too...He made sure to tell me to post this on the forumn and let everyone know he is doing his part to get students to the dome for this game...

No offense... but this thread is pretty embarrassing.

Mainly because we have to track our numbers daily to see if we're on pace to sell out 1 of the smallest big time football stadiums in the country against the #3 team in the country who will seat 10% of capacity by themselves.

Then don't view it. A lot of people seem interested in, it if its embarrassing to you then I'm sorry. We havn't sold out the Dome very often something like 4 times? So when we get a big crowd it's kind of a big deal whether you or, I for that matter, like it or not. I wish it wasn't a big deal and we had these kind of crowds every game.

I see it the other way. This is the first time we've had a chance to even have this type of discussion in forever. If we parsed such things back then, sales for Tenny and Michigan probably would have looked about the same 2 weeks out. It would be fantastic for this to be a given, but that doesn't discount how exciting it is that it's even possible.

that is the embarrassing thing i am talking about.

i am sure there is a topic on a clemson board right now making fun of us for this thread.

they can have the same discussion about most of the conference. who cares? we're excited about something that's a positive for us. i won't begrudge them being excited about a sellout when we come play basketball there.

Don't care if they are.. I hope you don't go around in life worrying about what others think.

This is going to come across as big time Yankee elitist, but I've spent some time on their boards this week and the discussion is barely comprehensible. I really don't like to buy into the South Carolina stereotypes but lord have mercy.

I kind of get what you're saying, but who the cares what Clemson fans think? They have a nice little program there, but historically they're not in the same time zone as Syracuse. They have fewer wins overall, less than half the number of All-Americans, no Heisman winner, 6 College Football Hall of Fame inductees compared to 14 for Syracuse and no Pro Football Hall of Fame members compared to 7 for SU with Tom Coughlin soon to make it 8. They're West Virginia with fewer wins and a national championship. They're a nice little program with a good fan base; nothing more, nothing less.

On a side note, I bet we could start a thread on the basketball board making fun of the fact that they probably get 3,000-4000 to show up for the November/December cupcake games. This might be wrong because I doubt any is an actual cupcake for Clemson "basketball."

Does this mean 306/307 is full of students? If so awesome.
