If he is our choice, I hope they lose. I want him here getting to work as soon as possible.

I'm in the minority, but I hope Hodge goes on a long NCAA run. It will only add to the excitement, fan engagement, and basketball brand if/when the hire is officially announced.

I agree with you. I would think even a 5/12 upset by USF would spark more excitement, help portal guys look at Syracuse more closely, etc. I think a Sweet 16 run would get his name out to a lot of casual fans that aren’t aware of who he is yet. All good things.

He’s already got a staff ready to move north (I assume), a whale in his corner and players worthy of coming along. Not a bad start to his tenure, if this is our dude.

That is exactly why I like him over Schertz who I think is probably a better Xs and Os coach but I think the attitude is something our program needs to get our aura back.
