If he is our choice, and an agreement in principle is in place, my wild guess is he is already "working" on staff, roster, portal, NIL, booster networking. If he is our choice, I hope they lose. I want him here getting to work as soon as possible.
I will be absolutely stunned if the next MBBHC isn’t Bryan Hodgson.
I agree with you. I would think even a 5/12 upset by USF would spark more excitement, help portal guys look at Syracuse more closely, etc. I think a Sweet 16 run would get his name out to a lot of casual fans that aren’t aware of who he is yet. All good things. If he is our choice, and an agreement in principle is in place, my wild guess is he is already "working" on staff, roster, portal, NIL, booster networking.
I'm in the minority, but I hope Hodge goes on a long NCAA run. It will only add to the excitement, fan engagement, and basketball brand if/when the hire is officially announced.
He’s already got a staff ready to move north (I assume), a whale in his corner and players worthy of coming along. Not a bad start to his tenure, if this is our dude.If he is our choice, and an agreement in principle is in place, my wild guess is he is already "working" on staff, roster, portal, NIL, booster networking.

That's where I'm at. It would just seem to good to be true.I want to believe it but I will not believe it until Hodg is doing his press conference. Way too good of news to be true
We need a return to the Showtime OrangemenThat is exactly why I like him over Schertz who I think is probably a better Xs and Os coach but I think the attitude is something our program needs to get our aura back.
What news?Someone is already calling shots based on the Alex Kline news so they are clearly multitasking. If it’s BH, he is doing a good job so far.
So the ad just hired today had no say?I will be absolutely stunned if the next MBBHC isn’t Bryan Hodgson.

Who’s next at Syracuse? 6 head coaching candidates, including Bryan Hodgson, Gerry McNamara
Syracuse is mired in a five-year postseason drought, but one right hire can turn a program around fast in this era of the sport.www.nytimes.com
The writer also thinks Hodgson is turning 49, when he's turning 39.Regarding the last line of the Luke Murray section. Do we have future hoops games scheduled with UConn or does this writer lazily think we're still in the Big East?
But he went to Dooook baby!He must really hate us
Would be funHe must really hate us
IMO, you simply could not pass over the senior staff member, who had more staff responsibilities than Gerry, no known issues, and is a minority. SU would have been skewered.I’m still blown away that we selected a guy boeheim didn’t advocate for after boeheim held on for so long. That to me is the biggest check minus against wildhack
I don’t believe it either but if I’m going to believe this narrative it makes absolutely no sense.
If I’m GMacs agent I’m pushing this everywhere. Drive up the price for him at other jobs
There was a quote in an article about the presumptive new AD. Describes his nervousness before the Toledo interview. His wife told him: “it’s your job, now go introduce yourself.”Here’s some advice…no matter what your resume says, prepare, prepare and prepare for the interview. Demonstrate your passion and sell your skills.
Win the job!
He already sent a recruit to see the campus. If he is our choice, and an agreement in principle is in place, my wild guess is he is already "working" on staff, roster, portal, NIL, booster networking.

I think you wanted to say "Hodgson is doing more with less"- but what the heck to I know?Look at what Hodgson has done at non prestigious colleges. Meaning he has had little resources, and still made both programs have more success than they have ever had. St Louis and Siena have a ton of resources and are some of the best resources in their respective conferences.
Hodgson is doing less with more imo. And he has been to the big leagues and recruited at a very high level. In my opinion he has coached up his talent, has a great system, and knows what it takes in today’s college game with players switching constantly.
Not to mention, his personality is so Syracuse!!! I need it to be Hodgson, the fan base would be rejuvenated overnight.
Who?He already sent a recruit to see the campus.
