Coach Search Options after Autry

If he is our choice, I hope they lose. I want him here getting to work as soon as possible.
If he is our choice, and an agreement in principle is in place, my wild guess is he is already "working" on staff, roster, portal, NIL, booster networking.

I'm in the minority, but I hope Hodge goes on a long NCAA run. It will only add to the excitement, fan engagement, and basketball brand if/when the hire is officially announced.

I agree with you. I would think even a 5/12 upset by USF would spark more excitement, help portal guys look at Syracuse more closely, etc. I think a Sweet 16 run would get his name out to a lot of casual fans that aren’t aware of who he is yet. All good things.

He’s already got a staff ready to move north (I assume), a whale in his corner and players worthy of coming along. Not a bad start to his tenure, if this is our dude.

Someone is already calling shots based on the Alex Kline news so they are clearly multitasking. If it’s BH, he is doing a good job so far.
What news?

Edit. I saw it now

I just wonder if the new AD who by all accounts is an aggressive fund raiser, and some say has a super competitive personality doesn’t swing bigger or at least has names on his list that’s not being mentioned by this fan base.

I’m still blown away that we selected a guy boeheim didn’t advocate for after boeheim held on for so long. That to me is the biggest check minus against wildhack

I don’t believe it either but if I’m going to believe this narrative it makes absolutely no sense.
IMO, you simply could not pass over the senior staff member, who had more staff responsibilities than Gerry, no known issues, and is a minority. SU would have been skewered.

Here’s some advice…no matter what your resume says, prepare, prepare and prepare for the interview. Demonstrate your passion and sell your skills.

Win the job!
There was a quote in an article about the presumptive new AD. Describes his nervousness before the Toledo interview. His wife told him: “it’s your job, now go introduce yourself.”

He already sent a recruit to see the campus.

Look at what Hodgson has done at non prestigious colleges. Meaning he has had little resources, and still made both programs have more success than they have ever had. St Louis and Siena have a ton of resources and are some of the best resources in their respective conferences.

Hodgson is doing less with more imo. And he has been to the big leagues and recruited at a very high level. In my opinion he has coached up his talent, has a great system, and knows what it takes in today’s college game with players switching constantly.

Not to mention, his personality is so Syracuse!!! I need it to be Hodgson, the fan base would be rejuvenated overnight.
I think you wanted to say "Hodgson is doing more with less"- but what the heck to I know?
