Boston’s good for the Uber wealthy. It is unaffordable for even upper middle class people. I have friends and colleagues making in the 200’s that can’t afford to live anywhere close to where they work so hello to 3 hours of commuting a day.

Like my buddies on Long Island that can't wait to move out of there because they've been dragging their butts on the LIRR for 40 years of aggravation. If you have a good job and live in upstate NY, you can basically write your ticket to a nice lifestyle.
Turnovers are turnovers and they still play forty minutes. You also need to take into account about teams that shoot poorly. When you have poor shooters, it’s easy for defenses to just play your passes, which also leads to turnovers. When guys don’t look at the basket, they usually have more turnovers. SU’s guards are a perfect example. You’re correct that it’s apples to oranges. There’s a lot of reasons why teams turn over the ball. Playing fast doesn’t always lead to turnovers. Usually they just shoot it quicker before you get a chance to turn it over. My issue with Hogdson is has he done and proven enough to warrant the SU job? He might kill it, but can SU really take that chance? I’m just skeptical at this point in time. I think we all want the next coach to be successful. I just want someone with a longer track record at a higher level with proven success. Unfortunately, that might not be an option.
You’re wrong. USF turns the ball over on 15.6% of its offensive possession … 96th in the country. Cuse is 16.1% which is 128th in the country.
They also out rebound their opponents by 5 per game including 41.6% of their own misses. It leads to them shooting 3 more shots and 4 more free throws per game than their opponents.
I’m not going to squabble about .5 of teams offensive possessions, but teams that can’t shoot are prone to turn the ball over more. Neither percentage is anything to brag about.
i don't know what the math means but usf gets 6.8 more possessions than su.
If food is the deciding factor for where I live next I will pass on all the Wegman’s in the world if I can get a local butcher with a delivery boy on a bike.
It is but go to Boston and it’s everywhere. At some point infrastructure can’t keep up and places get too congested
Recruiting is College Basketball yesteryear. NIL is the recruiter…..nothing else. We’ve been told here that not only don’t we have the money to get the top recruits, we also don’t have the money to get any top shelf coaches. The most informed people on our board have unfortunately told us as much. It feels like everybody is jumping ship at the same time here ( Sevyrud, Wildhack, Frazier.) After learning what we have in this thread, it’s obviously not coincidence. Doomsday has sadly arrived.

Maybe the smoke is Syracuse isn’t only looking at up and coming coaches from small conferences but also focusing on coaches who have experienced success at a big school/in the tournament?
