If Lally was pushing for Lykes and he’s pouting because he didn’t get his way, and his revenge is to not use he’s relationship with BH to bring him in as our HC, then he’s not a guy we want influencing decisions at SU athletics.

Just my two cents on hodgson hes my number one choice and it will be a disaster if we dont get him. The biggest donor our school has is in love with the guy. Wouldn't money not be a problem here?

If it is a donor whose name rhymes with Bally, they seem to rub quite a few people the wrong way on this board. Unless there is a large number of other donors who are ready to step up with actual donations and not promises or hints of donations, I think you get what you get.

As much as many of us love bball the reality is we are getting 40 mil a year from the ACC for football and not basketball.

As soon as everyone realizes this and gets on the same page, it would be better.

#2, why did the Lallys want Heather Lyke so badly considering all her baggage? At the very least, she would have been a PR disaster if we hired her. I hope they at least understand that aspect of the situation. But also, how do they not see her hot mess of a track record and want to go running and screaming away?

#3, are they happy with Syracuse hiring Blair? And can Blair assuage their concerns and also build out the NIL and fundraising apparatus and corporate sponsorships so we’re not relying on a small subset of donors anymore?

My biggest question is the our whale donor battle over the actual basketball coach or what happened with the AD search and hire.
