For 2013 recruits ... must be really sure of the 2012 class being booked and committed

Hope their visiting that '13 OL Officer from Rachacha.

In michigan recruiting, though they could have driven to rochester to visit then fly out from there

Where are you guys getting Rochester from? Officers recruiting profile says he's from a town down near the Catskills. Did he transfer to a school in the Rochester area?

Well, he is from Rochester. In fact, he is the brother of one time SU target Jerome Lewis. Jerome of course originally went to V Tech but has since tranferred to UMass. VT is not being considered by Alex...

I am not making a statement one way or the other but it looks like the staff went out to a the last prospects and said we need to know ASAP, verbal or we are moving on. Good for them. I think it is good news that they are onto 2013 and probably a spot or two left for a late verbal

Based off an offer list from another site (ahem), it sure looks like we are looking for DL and RB.

Does Michigan make sense now we are getting out of the Big MidWest? I guess they are riding Wheatley's coat tails.

BTW, South Bend is about 10 miles from the Michigan State Line...things that make you go hmmmm. Maybe DM is finally doing that in home visit.

HCDM mentioned specifically in the past about taking advantage of the direct flights from Detroit to Syracuse. Believe he brought it up regarding Crume's recruitment.

All fingers and toes crossed.

Cuse looking at an OL in Michigan today.

I thought coach marrone said we were done at his luncheon... Just not done done

I like the direction this is going and hopefully like any good salesman Marrone and staff will close the 2012 deals and keep getting better and better for 13 and 14. The weasels and the sleazy used car salesmen have a way of popping up at the last minute and making some interesting offers.

Michigan posters feel cuse is in great position to land some big Michigan kids in 2013 because of TW ... they say he has been out there a ton

Lets just hope Wheatley stays on for 2012- 2013

One thing that Syracuse has to offer is that it has some very good hs school districts that the coaches with kids can send their kids too. I hope he and the other coaches stay as well but he has to do what's best for them and their families.

For academics yes...for football not so much. CNY can't compete for high caliber play in football compared to other areas. This was an issue with one SU coach I talked to before.

Good point, I hate it when our priorities get screwed up like that and academics comes first! I understand their point and would like to see their sons play football at a high level but still I think the tradeoff is still well worth it.

exactly... was thinking the same thing... eventually mich will come calling, especially if he is taking locals to foreign lands...

Do we hear recruits talking about anyone other than Wheatley and I guess Adkins?

Michigan's rb coach is 60 and in his 19th year. Have to think he'll be there until retirement.
