Is the Syracuse job opening really a better job opening than Miami.
Yes
Is the Syracuse job opening really a better job opening than Miami.
Give it and Autry time.Everyone one you saying I'm wrong. Take off your orange colored glasses. Nothing special about the program anymore. The one argument is there is a big crowd at the Dome. Go watch a game in a smaller arena (I've been to Hinkle it's amazing...people say the same thing about Assembly Hall and Cameron). Size isn't everything
For the last decade making the tournament has been an accomplishment. So many programs have leaped frogged Cuse. Wake up.
Yes. Miami absolutely does not care about basketball. Is the Syracuse job opening really a better job opening than Miami.
For some yes, for others no. The fact that it probably isn't definitive for a clear majority, should tell you something about the current status of our job.
Saving this post.Give it and Autry time.

Glad to see we can compete in the Patriot League. Not sure we could win on the road at Holy Cross though...I will say that Autry changed things up quite a bit today against Bucknell. Different players playing early in the game, mixing up defenses to speed up the game. Some good stuff.
That said, we still struggled to beat a 4-8 mid major. Tiny improvements, but we have to play at least that well every game from here on out.
I appreciated that he noticed that the press worked for a bit against Maryland and tried it yesterday. It’s not something that is season changing, but it’s something new to use to mix things up. I’m not a big Cuffe fan, but I’m glad he rewarded him for playing hard and scoring some points. This was the first game where it looked like their were adjustments.I will say that Autry changed things up quite a bit today against Bucknell. No Archie Miller! Already experienced that st IU and it wasn’t good.Jason hart, bob richey from Furman, Drew Valentine from Loyola Chicago, Chris Jans from Miss st, Richard Pitino, Chris Collins, Sean Miller, Mike Rhodes, Mitch Henderson, Archie Miller, Shaheen Holloway, Hodgson, Ryan Odom is a pretty good list to look at. Some are young up and comers and some are retreads that have turned their careers around and won at harder jobs than Syracuse. My favorite candidate would be Chris Jans or Mitch Henderson personally.
Mark Schmidt and Bonaventure would beat Cuse by 15 easy. Well coached team. A10 is going to be very competitive this year.I like the Bonnie's HC
Archie isn’t a perfect candidate but I have a hard time believing if they do make a change they’ll be able to get the best available candidate. Archie has turned Rhode Island into a pretty respectable program in year 2 with an 11-2 record. Yeah the competition isn’t the greatest but that’s still impressive at Rhode Island. Like I said in the original post Chris Jans and Mitch Henderson would be my top two choices but I don’t think Archie would be a terrible hire at all. He also killed it at Dayton before taking the Indiana job.No Archie Miller! Already experienced that st IU and it wasn’t good.

He was a hot coach while at Dayton. He wanted - and probably thought he was going to get - the Ohio State job.Archie isn’t a perfect candidate but I have a hard time believing if they do make a change they’ll be able to get the best available candidate. Sean Miller but making $5M per year
Shaka Smart only making $2M
Ben Mccollum 80% win percentage & making $500k
Wes Miller making $2.8M
Bryan Hodgson only making $450k
Anthony Grant making $2.4m
This seems like a reasonable list for salary? What say you?
Who is Mike Jones?Might be interesting to give Mike Jones a shot. Worked out well with Fran, first time head coach, strong recruiters. Maybe even keep Straughn around, he is forming strong relationships with some very good recruits.
Va Tech isn't that much better either and didn't they have a bunch of guys portal out last season.Former Dematha coach, coached team USA, Va Tech associate head coach.
