Amazing how Willie turned it around. Going into our game, you could argue he was on the hot seat. He ended up winning 7 of 8 and getting a 5 year extension out of it.

Their loss to Maryland was surprising but they played Memphis tough and also lost to FSU so they had a pretty tough SOS early. It amazes me when I hear that they were terrible from pundits in the Syracuse area because of their record before they played SU. You could see the talent there.

Maybe he learned at UF's expense and was able to convince USCe of his new and improved plan.

The thing that he still needs to improve on is his temperament. Getting penalties on the sideline at Auburn shows that he hasn't got that in check yet. His Gator teams had a lot of penalties... reflecting their coach's personality.
