Great move for Lewis. He couldn’t get out of Kent for some reason, and that was only going to work against him for the rest of his career. (Not a reflection on Lewis - Kent is not set up long term success.)

Think he’s betting on being the head coach in two years there. And can’t say I disagree with him. But gotta sting to see your hc leave to be a coordinator elsewhere. Says a lot about Kent state.
I think none of the usual rules apply when it comes to Deion. This may be the most unique head coach in D1 history. I’m excited to see how it plays out.

I'm glad to see it. Colorado is one of those programs that had a real nice run years back w/ Kordell Stewart, Rashaan Salaam, Eric Bienemy, et al. They were a fun team to root for outside of USC or Oregon. I'd be good to have them back.

He is going to absolutely kill it recruiting-wise. He already is. Great move by Colorado. But, Deion won't be there long.

He put in three years at Jackson State. If he gives CU a few years, assuming things go well, that’s all they can ask for.

What? Sean is gonna be the HC there in two years? Let’s slow the roll, CU was 1-10 last season and Sanders has a big buyout in the first two years.

HS football in Colorado is bad, can't recruit in state and get talent. Must fight in neighboring states like California and Arizona for talent where there are powerhouses in your conference grabbing all of the top talent. You get the left overs. The stadium is old, they just built a new football facility but that's about it. The Pac 12 with UCLA and USC gone stinks. And the football program is at the bottom of that bad conference.

He will make them better but their ceiling may be 3rd or 4th place at best each year behind Washington, Utah, and Oregon in the Pac 12. Never truly competing with them. And oh yeah, Washington and Oregon may bolt to the Big 10 if/when the Big 10 comes calling making the conference and job even worse.
That was other coaches. This is Prime Time.

LOL, we will see.

I like the guy, but its Colorado at the end of the day. Lots of heavy lifting to get this one off the ground in the Pac 12

I just watched the intro press conference. Call him cocky or whatever, but this is the guy. He’s been the man in the league, he’s a no nonsense guy and they are going to be good. Maybe not right away but kids want to play for a guy that has been there at the peak of the sport. It’s going to be fun to watch and I give him credit, the world is watching
He ain’t playing. I did not know that he is essentially old school and new school. Here’s the full speech. Fascinating and I’m a believer..
