Colorado fires Karl Dorrell / hires Deion Sanders

great hire, I think Deion has the recruiting angle covered. Those would be two great coordinators/ coaches. Lewis can recruit as well, can't imagine Zimmer doing much real recruiting

I wonder how hands on Deion is with X's and O's. Is he the ultimate CEO type that delegates all of that while he acts as the face of the program and acquires talent?

Do grad transfers count against that?
Don’t know. But I guess he could pay kids to be “walk-ons” for a year. But he told his whole current roster to hit the portal.

Well, he said it in the context of lighting a fire under them. He also said that during the off season he wqs going to try to make them quit to see really wanted to be there/had what it takes. I don't think he really plans to turn over all 85 scholarships in 1 year.

It would have been fun to see a full-strength Jackson State in the FCS playoffs.

Are recruiting violations still a thing? Or is that an antiquated concept?

Why? Do you think there was tampering here?
No, just wondering if we have arrived at the point where there are no rules at all.

There are still rules. The big change is the backroom bag deals from boosters held in the shadows are no longer necessary now that those can be veiled under the guise of NIL. Coaches still have limitations of when, how, and how much they can contact recruits, and the universities cannot pay the players directly.

Prime Time making moves at Colorado State. In full transpacareny, I was a huge doubter that he'd be able to have the same success at the P5 level as he had at Jackson State, but looks like he might be able to build something.

Also, love the part about making the recruit do snow angels. Just goes to show you actually can recruit to a cold weather climate.
