Colorado fires Karl Dorrell / hires Deion Sanders

There are FBS coaches that go from success to getting a different gig and being failures. There are plenty of FCS coaches with success at the FBS level. Temple was brilliant at doing this for awhile.
Yup. We'll have to wait and see.

Bottom line, Coach Prime is going to be a transformative HC in college football. This is the age of social media and he does it better than anyone else. The days of Bear Bryant having closed doors and taking you to Junction are over. It’s all about brand and the follows. Prime took one of the worst and least well founded HBCU programs and made them dominant in the SWAC. Guy is a proven winner and kids want to play for him. My only hope is that Dino loosens up and becomes more transparent. Social media exposure like Prime brings and what the Mob Podcast did is the future. Adapt or get terminated.

A nice start would be to allow the fans to meet and know the coaching staff. He acts like they’re incapable of speaking to the media.

They haven't been media trained.

Deion isn't stupid he knows exactly how to communicate with this generation. His wide open style of almost daily social media content having to do with him, the program, and his coaches/players is like being on a reality show. This is what these kids grew up on and his cache as an all-time great player, and winning coach at the FCS level is the perfect mix. How many games will he win next year? Who knows, but they will have talent that CU hasn't seen since the 90's, their program is the talk of CFB, and you have the sense that you're building something and most importantly for me taking the fans along for the ride. We'll be lucky if we here a peep about our program until we play our 1st game next season.

Their schedule is nuts. No gimmies. Maybe Colorado st? With that said, if they win 4 or 5 games it will be a success. They were the worse team in P5 last year

Nice to see them playing Nebraska again. Texas A&M-Texas, Colorado-Nebraska. Those two games made the Friday after Thanksgiving such a great day.

I remember those games as well. Absolutely

We’re not in the same boat as Colorado. We may have massive question marks at OL and some at DB, but we return a very solid level of experience.

I agree we're not in the same boat. In an era of celebrity worship, Deion will have one of the top 5 talented rosters in 3-4 years. It doesn't even matter whether he can coach. He's Prime Time. He knows it, and he knows how to leverage it.
