I know people will say he will just replace them but there is a limit on the number of players a team can sign. Even with the flux in numbers between years that is a lot of players to replace.

Well they were the worst P5 team last year so Im not sure how many of them are good. I know the Wr Montana L Craig was a loss. They have 25 incoming transfers too.

You wouldn't want to run off this many after spring ball being how much time was wasted on them in spring ball and the lack of available replacements at this stage in the game. Now you go into fall camp lacking depth or having to redo install if you were to replace all 19.

I'm not surprised that people want to leave with a coaching change; that happens all over. However, 20 is a lot to lose. A bunch of people are going to get immediate PT that they didn't expect.

So, I was listening to a coach and Rick Neuheisel about this very topic. The coaches will do this to showcase their players for other schools and, of course, so they have enough players to actually practice and the spring game. It's a win/win for both. Most coaches aren't heartless.
