Convince me this is not our best lineup

I know shooting and a spread floor would be the issue but we will see this lineup with Buddy instead of Alan. However with Alan we have much better with rebounding, defense and transition which equate to a better offense

We don’t even know what Sid can do. What are the chances he can’t run? We haven’t even seen him this season. I will be shocked if he ends up being much of a contributor this season.

This has nothing to do with the topic. This topic is assuming Sidibe is in the game

I think you're a very intelligent fan and I agree with a lot of your opinions, but you lost me on the Sid take. I think if he’s healthy he’s probably a 10-15 minute player the rest of they year.

Maybe this helps ...

the coaches have said they didn’t want to bring him back until he was nearly 100%. So AGAI let’s just for the argument sake say if he is healthy and close to the center that he was at the end of last year. Because if he’s not then he shouldn’t play over Anyone of our top 6

I hope you're right, but the coaches say things a lot. He was still limping around last year after his first surgery.

This was the lineup I suggested preseason would be best.

Buddy would be a STRONG 6 man with this setup...depending on matchup/opponent...he could be a starter too vs some teams, imo.

Eh, that likely is.

The thing is, we have plenty of seemingly decent option 1-4. We could be a fun little team with some of the various skills, and athletic abilities we feature - however, for some strange reason we try to go with the same one as much as possible. And in a pinch, or blowout, we move the SG to SF.

I honestly don't think this team has a "best" lineup, meaning it's very fluid from game to game. There are some games when Buddy is lights out and should play a lot and other games where he's hurting the team and need to sit. Same with Joe.

If are protecting a lead and need defense that would be our best lineup in the OP.

I don’t think Buddy and Girard should automatically sit though.
If either is hot they can help the offense.
The problem is Buddy is playing over 90% of the game and Kadary is playing less than 50% of the game that has caused a lot of questions.

I just want to win games and know the current status quo isn’t good enough to be better than mediocre and hope to luck on the good side of the bubble.

Our best line up doesn't have Marek in it?

Assuming Sidibe gets a knee transplant, correct. Marek is a good facilitator. He passes better than Alan and Q, but that’s the only thing he does better. Well, he can dribble a little, but with two guards on the court that doesn’t mean a lot.

I’m firmly of the belief Alan could not give us more than a few productive minutes at SG before hurting us. If we want Marek in our best lineup, then that takes Alan (arguably our best guy at creating for himself) off the court.

Sidbe Marek Quincy Alan and Kadary.

Sid can't shoot the three or catch a pocket pass on a pick and roll.

For all that Sid would help us out and do some basic stuff decently, you are fully changing the geometry of the floor that we can use.
