Cuse hate is running rampid

Time for a nice ol' gut punch.

Again, who cares? Seriously, you guys should try to listen to Sirius Ch. 84. I have heard nothing but complimentary dialogue the past few days. Childers said today he is sick of hearing all the negativity regarding violations and such. Childers, Spatola, Cremins, Feinstein, Greenberg, Rothstein, Fraschilla have all been on Sirus the past 48 hours or so. A breath of fresh air and good stuff.

I was playing basketball Tuesday morning and afterward I overheard three guys ripping on Syracuse. They must have been in their sixties or seventies and they were walking around the track on the level above the courts. I could only hear them when they were close by, but one guy in particular was going on and on for several laps. He brought up every last rumor, including Bernie Fine.

Keep in mind, I live in St. Louis.

I think ever since the whole Bernie Fine ordeal there has always been a negative connotation surrounding Syracuse Basketball. Add on the violations from last year, leaving the Big East for ACC and people's general hatred for JB and his personality and yeah, we are a pretty hated bunch right now. Not saying this is warranted but people and the media like believing in a story to make them feel better or to fit their own agenda.

Just an observation from my own life. I work in NYC and everyone in my large workplace knows I'm a cuse fan. I can't tell you how many times I've been stopped over the past few days and have been told the following by co-workers: - You guys had a great run but it's over now. - You better start drinking early because your game will be over by halftime. - I can't believe a dirty program like yours made it this far. - All of the cheating is paying off for you guys, good luck.

I throw venom back at these people but it's very sad to see what a horrible perception have of our program. It could be a Cinderella, feel good story but has turned into "this cheating team never belonged to begin with and will get destroyed."

Just an observation..is anyone else out there going through the same thing?
no, I live in stl, w/ my orange gear on all the time, hope your team wins, love jab, are you from syracuse? etc etc... Syracuse is a national power w/ fans everywhere, Quit worrying about the talking heads, or the few messed up fans you meet.

doesn't sound like you have any friends where you work because everyone I work with around the country has been pretty awesome in their support, including those that live in Columbus, OH.

It's the useful guide one. Jeff did a pretty good job with that one.
He did. I'm just curious why the part about marijuana was left out. Were we not punished for that after all?

no one should be punished for 420. are you a da or something. It's coming, like it or not.

For some reason this is reminding me of:

Batman got on my nerves
He was running me amok
He ridiculed me, calling me a bum

It doesn't help when stupid media people can't even begin to get the story right. For example, on ESPNRadio this AM they did a quick news rundown and whoever it was talked about Syracuse's "10 years worth of infractions", not a 10 year investigation.
