Class of 2014 DB Deion Hallmon (FL) Offered

This has been a weird one all around. This kid contradicts himself a lot. So no matter what, whoever he announces for there will be something you can look at in retrospect and say "That makes no sense or was deliberately misleading." Still... hope its cuse Monday.

247sports is making me super upset and depressed. All their recruiting experts are giving a lot of credit to buttgers in all these recruiting battles. It further perpetuates this myth that they are a national player. I'm gonna be really bummed if we lose this kid to buttgers

Despite what you may think of T Hunt, he has good info and talks to all the kids and the staff every day. And most of the "analysts" on the 247 crystal ball are just glorified message board addicts that parrot what they hear. I guarantee you the main reason most of them are switching their predictions to Rutgers is because they saw Todd switch.

Having said that, following Todd's prediction is a pretty good way be right. He has a high batting average.

As far as "being shocked" could be Hallmon exaggerating, could be the coach was merely shocked that he heard today and not with the rest of the world via twitter on 8/26 and it could also mean he really was shocked and this was a decision that came from left field (like say if it was him telling Miami he's walking on there) could be any number of things

I wouldn't take anything Hallmon says in an interview seriously . Like I said before he had admitted to giving leading interviews . If anything it was looking better for Syracuse a month ago then it is now. I think by now everyone has caught on to him and are just letting it play out as the kid has shown to be very unpredictable .

Good points but according to the RU board the offer to the South Florida DB is not yet commitable, could be waiting on Hallmon. I dont put much stock into 247 but the last 5 guys all from yesterday are picking Rutgers. Just seems to me that most of the signs are pointing Rutgers. Either way whoever he commits to on Monday wont be where he ends up in February, that I can pretty much guarantee.

The dude on Sc**t pointed out that 247 had Lamar Dawson going to Mich State 100%, even after they pulled his offer and he said 30 times that he was almost definitely committing to SU on his visit. They suck. The Nole's guy had him going to Cuse until Hunt and one other guy changed their picks yesterday. More sheep!

If the Notre Dame offer is real, he ends up there. if it's fake he ends up there anyway and starts dating Mantei's former girlfriend!

The kids recruitment has been bizarre to say the least and were only in August. At this point I have no idea where he might end up, nothing would surprise me with this kid. As for why reach out, I think with this kid Flood and the RU staff much like the SU staff probably has zero confidence in thid kid actually staying committed any where. I doubt either school isnt looking for a backup plan.

Speculation as to whether Hallmon would take an official visit to Syracuse on Sept. 13 arose when 247Sports.com reported that he would do so. But according to Hallmon, he will no longer be taking that visit.

Again, any other kid and I figure we are done. With DH, this seems way too obvious. Schedule SU only, then drop WISC in there for October, then cancel SU because everyone assumes he is going there. And on and on we go.
