I expect more outta you.

I hiked Washington in the winter, once, via Amonoosuc Ravine. Relatively mild conditions, but the top of the head wall was solid globby ice. Crampons are a wonderful thing.

I have preached the same thing for years. Tired of the excuses. Now we have a coach who is the best recruiter in the nation and is building a legacy. I hope all the posters that made “the weather” the excuse as to why we were bad read this post.

It’s just something for the media to be negative about because they know nothing of our program other than we have been down.
They do not know what to make of Fran’s resurgence on recruiting in a very short period of time. It does not fit their narrative. Thus, they have to be critical on something else.

stole my line, "embrace the snow'. Just told my wife this morning, as long as i am not shoveling it or driving in it, i like it. Actually bought a pair of snowshoes and head over to Green Lakes. It's just as beautiful there as it is in the summer. Last year, I was bummed because there was so little snow it never happened. The team plays indoors, and practices indoors when necessary, why should he care

But man... I can't help but think that it could be a problem with the kids we have visiting this weekend. It's one thing to have snow. It's quite another to wake up and have just shy of a foot of snow that wasn't there that day before. What an impression.

I despise the cold now, but I'm in my 50s, which is why I currently live in Tampa FL. When I was 18-22 living in Syracuse, as a young guy, I loved it. It's also a soft landing when drinking too much.

For college students, it should be less about the snow, unless they like snow activities, and more about the cold. They don't have to snowblow or plow driveways. There are a ton of schools in places colder than Syracuse.
