The way we have played the last 2 minutes of this game we deserve to lose.

We deserve to win as well. last two offensive possessions haven't been great but clark threw up puke twice in the second half. Well atleast we waited to the last second on the third.

I'll give you that.

Good thing Melo has had like 4 blocks the last three possessions.

Can't believe that last possession. Hate to say it but didn't look like we had a "go to guy" there!

Blame on JB right now. This game should be over.

Stall ball is costing us right now. Hopefully this gets remembered in March.

It has cost us many times in the past. So I don't think anything will change on the future. On the other hand it has helped in some games in the past too. The stalling didn't hurt as much as the lack of taking it all the way to the hoop. We drive into the lane and don't look to finish instead looking to pass it back out.

I'll ask for the proof on that one. Give an example or it didn't happen...

I dont hate stall ball, and it's usually a great tool.

He just jumped the gun tonight, and it hurt us.

Agreed. I equate it to the prevent defense in football. Works, but not if you try it too early.

Was not pretty, but they rarely are against the Hoyas. You take a win any way you can get it against a rival.

It cut down a possessions or two we were up 4 with with like 3 minutes left. Three chances to score and we didn't. Had we not done it we could have lost in regulation and nobody can dissagree there.

stall ball up four with four minutes left is absolutely laughable.

its like going into a prevent defense up 6 points with 8 minutes left in football

Could it not be said that if we had not done it we could have WON in regulation too?

Yeah and had we scored on one of those last possessions we win period. We had three chances to put the game away because of stall ball on the offensive end. Three. Had we not played it and gtown scored on one of the two extra possession then we only get one instead of three chances to win on the offensive end.

Had Waiters not taken two ugly threes maybe we win in regulation.

This has been disproven on this board countless times.

In that case I apologize... I must have missed those threads while watching the special on Fox that proved the moon landing was faked!

What utter crap.

You are a moron.

So you are saying trying to use one of our biggest weaknesses (half court offense) as a strength by running the shot clock down under 8 is a good idea? We have trouble scoring in half court sets with the whole shot clock to work with. So let's run it down lower so they know exactly when we have to shoot. We do need run the clock, but running it down to the end of the shot clock on multiple possessions and then having to force bad shots is not good or smart basketball.

But you are probably right I am the moron.

Indeed it has been proven many times that stall ball, while it gives a lot of us serious agita, has not "cost us many times."

What a joy it is to see these general malaise threads when we've just won against top conference competition--the #11 team in the country--and defeated a long-hated rival. My God, we didn't cover! Can't wait to see how the locusts and frogs start pouring down if (and probably when) the team loses. I've got no problems with complaints and criticisms of the team, but the doom-and-gloom pastiches--particularly the ill-informed ones--don't do anybody any good.

There's room for us to improve, but we hung on in a game where we trailed early and went neck-and-neck late. Sure, our shooting needs to get better, our rebounding needs to improve immensely, and Dion needs to return to earlier-season, less-selfish form--but winning a close one in OT against such a highly ranked team tests our mettle in ways that a 25-point laugher vs. SJU could never do.

For God's sake, it's the &$^%*#@ Hoyas. I don't want to hear the irrelevance commentary. They are the enemy. We beat them tonight. I hope they get a flat on the way to the airport and have to sit in a frigid, dejected bus while waiting for a towing wrecker to rescue them and bring them to a .5-star ashtray hotel near Carrier Circle to savor a winter overnight before heading back to lick their wounds in DC. And I hope Kevin Braswell gets to clean up after them tomorrow morning.

880 wins.

How many you got?

Seriously, answer the question. How many?
