Yes, I agree. It definitely needs to be renovated. I have heard a couple of rumors about what may happen - Kenny, the guy that owns the building, he also owns the Basil Leaf building, is going to sell the property. That is what one of the bartenders told me. If that happens given how valuable the property is I expect Chick Fil A to change their plans and buy that property with the Basil Leaf property and that will be the end of that.The building is tiny, cramped. The inside really needed a facelift, old wood walls and seating - very dark. We liked going there occasionally for the food. Sad it’s closing. I used to laugh and say that Ruston’s diner and the Clam bar must be related - same decor, old wood all over, decent food but I think Ruston’s might actually be a bit bigger.
The other rumor that one of the other bartenders is floating around is that Kenny is going to do some remodeling, reopen in 3 months with new management. He wasn't fond of this latest owner I guess.
