I think so too. We were blown out of our last three games and our OOC slate will be tougher this year. It also depends upon whether we want to be happy with going from losing seasons to .500 seasons (ie 6 wins). To do more than .500 will require more than a modest improvement, based upon what we showed in 2021.

There's also still an elephant in the room outside of the offense. The DL was gutted, and needs transfer portal help. Hopefully that happens, it's the ideal situation for a transferring DL who wants to play more.

If that group isn't replenished, the OC hire won't have much of an impact on increasing the win total.

Well if we get the OC by this weekend that should stop some of you all from panicking………..until you hear the name inwhich case some of you all just might start panicking again. If that happens, pour yourself 4 fingers of your favorite Irish Whiskey and buckle down for the holidays.

I'm watching the Orange Weekly with Axe that came out today. He has no info on an OC, he's just speculating that it may occur after the early bowl games.

It's an interesting watch. People can form their own opinions, but Mink is on there giving a pretty grim state of the program/facilities, etc.

Why would we wait till after the Bowls? You can announce before and they can coach the Bowl game still. Heck why even coach the Bowl game if you aren't in the CFB Playoff? They are meaningless. Well unless we are hiring Kevin Johns and he doesn't want to risk losing the trip to Hawaii. And it isn't like other schools are not hiring HCs, OCs, DCs, etc.

Yes, by Mink. It's similar, he just talks about it much more. Nothing he said was unfair (in my opinion), it was just an interesting listen.

Here’s another prediction. He could hire Kim Jong-un or some other incompetent person for the job and some on this site will claim it’s a great hire. It cuts both ways.
