Wildhack has stayed publicly that he appreviates how hard JB and his assistants work.. Hes not down on any of them. There are no changes coming.
of course...Would it be more merciful for Wildhack to ensure that JB doesn't end his career with two consecutive losing seasons?
No, it doesn’t.
not when 30k just filled the dome
There is what is said in public and what is said in private. I don't believe, and have been told, that JW is not happy. Now, what can he do about it is another matter. Very sticky situation. I don't envy JW.Wildhack has stayed publicly that he appreviates how hard JB and his assistants work.. Hes not down on any of them. There are no changes coming.
How could anyone be happy the football and bball combo are as bad as they have been in 50 plus years. Is John mad enough to do something? There is what is said in public and what is said in private. Not really. To be fair, it’s basically an impossible position to be in for an AD.
I’m not going to walk away, but I’m a bit irritated I got a packet in the mail to ask me for more money after I donated everything last year when we could not go to games in any sport and the product on the field/court is the worst it’s been across the board. This,
If season ticket holders walk away in droves, he will be forced to act.
It won't be droves, however, hence the issue.
Syracuse doesn’t have big donorsAre the big donors upset? I think that's who matter most unfortunately
I have and I did get a response. It was respectful.
we are running out of games!!!What happens first ...
JW lets go of JB
or
JB sits Jimmy
But didn't he just do that last game?we are running out of games!!!
Totally agree.....but so does the inbounds play that we screwed up on! Not the first time that has happened this year. Especially after a TOKids played their guts out tonight. This thread blows.

After losing on the road in OT against a pretty strong North Carolina team, I think the AD sees frustration as passion.I don’t get how we can have a smart and talented AD and he can’t do anything to help the basketball program.
Just use your brain and look at this year’s to roster situation and then look at next year’s barring major major upgrades it’s not going to turn around next year.
How does Wildhack not see this and if he does and nothing changes it’s maddening.
SU football has actual disadvantages and limitations.
SU Basketball is not relevant at all.
The fanbase is overwhelmingly getting the issues. Jim Boeheim is not getting it done and its not a one year problem.
He has only one move. Tell Jim he gets one more year. If he agrees tell him that he will do everything in his power to hire Hop to keep it in the family. That Hop will be offered the Job.No one would do that Alsacs for something a Hall of fame coach says in a press conference. We have to be realistic. JW would come off looking like a fool. And the national media would ridicule him. They don't watch JB's press conferences. You suspended a Hall of Fame coach for saying a kid doesn't get it????? Can you imagine the reaction. We would come off as a joke and worst of all, it would give JB power. It would make it far more difficult to fire him after that fiasco.
I believe that it would be best if JB hung it up, but most outsiders don't view things like you and I. If Wildhack were to force him out against his will before JB tarnishes his own legacy, he'd be viewed as the bad guy by most national media. So far we haven't fallen far enough. Now if Wildhack could quietly lay out the facts for JB and convince him to make the decision himself, that would be different.So...
I think this idea that Wildhack will look like a tool is overblown.
It's clear as day that this isn't going to be a story book ending.
At this point, the possibility that JB tarnishes his legacy is far more likely than that he adds anything positive to it. Everybody can see this.
Let's say we do end this year as a losing team.
Next year you have to squint really hard to believe we'll be better.
Would it be more merciful for Wildhack to ensure that JB doesn't end his career with two consecutive losing seasons?
Playing hard isnt the issueKids played their guts out tonight. This thread blows.
You might not have noticed but there have been a lot of changes in football after the season. How could anyone be happy the football and bball combo are as bad as they have been in 50 plus years. Is John mad enough to do something?
this isn't about tonight. Although, at our level, we should be past moral victories. After losing on the road in OT against a pretty strong North Carolina team, I think the AD sees frustration as passion.
Tonight is not the night to use this argument.
I think Wildhack is very good at being very respectful in public. He's been a smart business man for a long time. We don't know what he's saying/thinking behind closed doors.Wildhack has stayed publicly that he appreviates how hard JB and his assistants work.. Hes not down on any of them. No deal. Hop is 24-7 zone. We need to move on from that. I'm tired of getting waxed on the boards. He has only one move. Tell Jim he gets one more year. If he agrees tell him that he will do everything in his power to hire Hop to keep it in the family. That Hop will be offered the Job.
If Jim doesn't agree let him know you are going to open the job up to outside candidates. Oh and let G. Red and Griff know as well.
I wouldn’t bet on itPeople should email John and ask him. Im sure if its done in a reasonable way, youll get a response.
Exactly. Never let them know what you are thinking.I think Wildhack is very good at being very respectful in public. He's been a smart business man for a long time. We don't know what he's saying/thinking behind closed doors.
