Dolezaj...

Yup gotta go to him more. Like giving him a breather because the guys who guard him tend to be bigger. When teams don’t have a Mooney type id use him inside more and maybe have him play 5 and go small with 4 guards.

Not sure what has happened but it seems like over the past few games bot Dolezaj and Sidibe seem to ne bigger factors in the game. They are getting rebounds, they are scoring and the "biggie" is they are not fouling out. Coaching change or just maturing? Regardless, if they continue to play like this, the Orange will be hard to stop. LGO

Coaching change. Marek is a match up problem for most teams. Teams are forced to account for him from the foul line down. He is realizing he can take guys. If they collapse we have three guys that can light it up. Getting the ball to him in the middle creates lots of options.

Has been a revelation in the post. He’s put some old school moves on bigger guys and been really effective. There is a ton of room for him to operate with three shooters on the floor. Great footwork.

He’s more than a glue guy now.

The improvement on the inside, with Marek the most obvious improvement, is definitely the difference between winning now and losing earlier in the year. We're holding our own on the boards and there is enough scoring inside to keep teams from overloading the perimeter. The iso offense came back tonight precisely because ND couldn't leave Marek, Guerrier, and Sidibe alone. They had no one really who could guard the perimeter guys, Hughes especially, one on one.

When you say coaching change, do you mean actual coach or change in coaching technique?

Helps when the whole team is crashing the boards more but agree.

He's been fantastic. Just wish he could stop getting into foul trouble.
An offensively assertive Marek is my favorite kind of Marek.

Wait. Did he not have a dumb 70 feet from the basket foul tonight? I can’t recall one.

Marek's definitely getting better at recognizing quickly when the defense on him is lax and he has an opportunity.
No team is going to leave the shooters. As long as he knows where the other big guy is, he knows where to make his move. You cannot leave Hughes, Girard or Buddy and they are standing out at the three point line. It has been so important that he has started to take advantage of this. And if he can draw the other big man, he can dump it down. It has been really fun to watch this team develop this year.

If all five guys can score, how do they guard us?
