great game by the Alabama defense, but definitely not a great game to watch. It was clear after the first quarter that the LSU offense was overmatched and they had no chance to win. That made for hours of really boring, drama-less play from then on.

We have already done budgeting for the practice facility now all they need is the 12mil to build it. Alabama could get that from there coffe change.

LOL, just finished an athletic facility (some of the facility) at Ithaca College and it is certainly nicer than anything I have seen at Syracuse, sad but true

how do so many people have so much knowledge about facilities?

I know all about the urinal cakes at the marshall square mall but how can so many people have so much knowledge about facilities? i love SU football but i have no interest inspecting their power racks or testing the gallons flushed

i'm not calling anyone liars, i'm just saying "what the hell" it's like half the board has powwows in the manley sh!tter

LOL, well when your business is building facilities then you know, ther are all sorts of small projects as well that gains one access to alot of different areas, even a project like replacing 2-3 doors, tearing a wall down, rebuidling it somewhere else, etc. Not as much at Syracuse but over the past 10-12 years I have basically worked in almost every building at Cornell in some capacity..

Trust me, when I say Syracuse facilities for football are beyond poor at this point. You want to compete and attract better talent, you will never do it with who we are competing with day in day out with what the University has to offer right now. It's a joke. KIDS LIKE NICE FACILITIES, they don't really care about some fifty year old guy that knows his coach, etc etc. That may get you a visit but won't seal the deal. Our facilities need to at least be adequate or we should get out of the game and it's not my job to figure out how to afford it, I just know that it needs to be done. Ithaca just put 40 mil into a new facility.

Again, this isn't 1983, Syracuse needs to step up

i agree with this. i'm convinced a lot of what is spent on facilities is wasted and that you can be good enough for way less money than what some schools spend, but there's still a minimum threshold

if you averaged that for a whole year, that ranks 6th in the country.

I appreciate what the Bama defense did. Pretty phenomenal if you ask me. The game itself however was a bore fest and I dont see how this was a great "game". Stanford/Okie State was a great game. This was a mauling. I hope to hell the powers to be of the BCS wake the and at least make it a plus one so we dont have to go through this year after year.

A great game where defense dominates would be something more like 10-9...you know, a close score.

The process of planning, designing and building facilities at most universities is a pretty open one. Just check the

University's web site. And there are commercial services that track this stuff, like Dodge. Most of the time they are looking for Bidders starting in the Pre-Design phase
