Agree. Now she's not Jay Bilas, but she's as good or better than everyone else. If you actually listen to what she says, instead of wishing she'd just shut up because she's a woman, she's really quite insightful and accurate.

Agreed that Patrick is terrible, but that doesn't make Doris good (or even decent). Her comments are often blatantly obvious to a casual fan and unnecessary or generic and reused 3-4 times during the game. I understand she played back in the day and was pretty good, but just being knowledgeable about the game isn't enough.

I have the same reaction to her that the characters on Family Guy have to Meg.

she almost always comes off to favor our opponent whenever we get her its been that way for 4 years, hard to like someone when that has been their whole career announcing our games. She does give us our highlights, but shes just always there when the pressure is on us.

there were a few points where I had to laugh today. My favorite was wow did you see that pitt player close out on fair off the fast break, and talking about pitt and showing a basket after we stuff them for 32 seconds and stole the ball on one possession in the first half.

I am hoping that they somehow get Knight, Bilas and Digger for the Duke game. A hall-of-fame broadcast team for a hall-of-fame game.

I'll agree that she sometimes favors our opponents but in this case and a few other times it seems she's just trying to balance out the Syracuse alum that she's calling the game with. When she calls a game that doesn't involve Syracuse it's a lot easier to appreciate her great knowledge of both pro and college ball.

Doris does excellent game preparation via researching the teams and understands the game really well. However, she is from the Dick Vitale school of repeating the same 5 talking points the entire freaking game. She is annoying because of this, but because she is entrenched with Dick Vitale and Jeff Van Gundy/Mike Breen she isn't going anywhere even though her schtick annoys me. Sometimes saying less is good, but repeating the same bleeping pre-canned talking points over and over and just ruins the bleeping game. If she wouldn't repeat the same crap over and over I wouldn't mind her.
