And you know this how? What Jek is saying is true. The whole premise of this thread is that Dungey has been cleared to practice. That is not the case. End of story.

Because someone close to the program, who is a day to day observer, has said that as of right now he still hasn't been cleared. And you know this how?
I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt. But I've heard from people I trust, with inside sources, that he hasn't yet been cleared.

If that is true, he will not play. It would go against the protocol. Again, assuming your source is well-informed.Because someone close to the program, who is a day to day observer, has said that as of right now he still hasn't been cleared.
He doesn't know. He tweeted later saying it was tongue in cheek.

My source is about as well informed as you could be.If that is true, he will not play. It would go against the protocol. Again, assuming your source is well-informed.
Gee, Shafer just said Dungey is "pretty doubtful" so I guess my 3rd hand sources knew what they were talking about.so 3rd hand?

kid get knocked out for a second, struggles in pain, tries to get up...COLLAPSES back down, does anyone really think he didn't sustain a concussion? If he has a concussion, he is likely to sit. If he doesn't he will play. If he plays he will execute the playbook. There is no 100% involved in this decision. Either he has a concussion or he doesn't.

It comes from someone close to the team. I just don't want to say who, because I don't want to cause trouble for the person letting the info slip. I understand it sounds grapevine-ish, believe me. I'm also not one to take a hard stance about something unless I have info I firmly believe in.no need to get fresh, but having a friend who has an inside source just seems a bit grapevine-ish.
i'm still upset about shamarko thomas getting obvious concussions and staying in the game.kid get knocked out for a second, struggles in pain, tries to get up...COLLAPSES back down, does anyone really think he didn't sustain a concussion?
This is where medicine is an inexact science with respect to testing, differing levels of how patients recover, etc., so even if he is passing the concussion protocols testing his brain knows it's been traumatized and hasn't healed fully.
If he's cleared to play it's really...not a good thing in any way shape or form. Any dr. that clears him given the FACTS of the case and situation, despite testing this week, would appropriately be looked at as questionable.
Ugh, we don't need to get back into that crap. Ha.As much as Jek has given accurate information in the past, I can't believe some of you guys are doubting him. (Yes, Whitey, we all know your thoughts on RW).
Apparently they aren't practicing today, according to Someone Who Would Know.
