no need to get fresh, but having a friend who has an inside source just seems a bit grapevine-ish.

Wait, according to folks all over this board, we're playing the '85 Bears Defense this Saturday. There's no way we can risk Dungey's health. As a matter of fact, I would sit everyone and suit up the field hockey team. I mean, we're going to lose 186-0 so why risk it. Sheesh. If, and I do mean IF, he is cleared (i.e. maybe you can provide some info on how you learned this?), there is absolutely NO REASON for him not to play. It would make no sense to sit him.

My wife does that plenty. And that's not innuendo, it's referring to actual ball busting.I don't doubt him, he just needs his balls busted once in a while.

Yeah, I'm not feeling disrespected or any of that crap believe me.I dont believe anyone has doubted him.
orange_in_VA made the mistake of thinking someone doubted him b/c jekelish quoted someone, but that post came before jek posted his info. other than that - i dont see much doubting of the info.

One thing that I do dislike though, and why I was a little perturbed by the thread to begin with, was someone doing a drive-by posting that Dungey was good to go...and that's it. Not even saying, "I heard this from someone, can't say who." Just, "he's been cleared" with nothing else. That's irksome. At least indicate you heard it SOMEwhere, even if you can't say where.
Yep. That's huge for the health of the whole team. We need to get as many people back to 100% as possible for USF and UVA. Have to win those two games. Also the fact that we have a bye after LSU makes a difference. Eric would have 3 weeks to fully recover...

Just counted 4 posters on page 2 alone...

How about an all freshman lineup?Um no. Field Hockey has a shot at the National Title so find another team to put at risk.
you are being hyper sensative dude. there isnt 1 negative post about Jek's info on my page 2.
Unleass you consider my "so 3rd hand" and a picture of marty headd to be doubting his info - which i can speak for myself, my comment certainly didnt judge his info 1 way or the other.
I wish I could like this post a thousand times.kid get knocked out for a second, struggles in pain, tries to get up...COLLAPSES back down, does anyone really think he didn't sustain a concussion?
This is where medicine is an inexact science with respect to testing, differing levels of how patients recover, etc., so even if he is passing the concussion protocols testing his brain knows it's been traumatized and hasn't healed fully.
If he's cleared to play it's really...not a good thing in any way shape or form. Any dr. that clears him given the FACTS of the case and situation, despite testing this week, would appropriately be looked at as questionable (and before anyone who doesn't know me question why I say this I've been teaching Neuroanatomy/Neurophysiology/Neuroscience for 25 years now as a college prof., have played the sport and sustained some head trauma, etc. so know personally and professionally of this issue).
I'm not trying to be "hyper-sensitive" about it. But don't spread doubt, and then act like it didn't happen. Both you and OrangeInBoston were overly skeptical. Especially when given zero evidence to refute what Jek was saying, or to corroborate the OPs bs.
