Elijah Robinson to Texas A&M

He's been E-Rob's right-hand man so will be interesting to see if he gets a promotion to DL coach or heads back South.
I don't think either knew that a stunt can be performed outside of a hollywood studio, and that a swim move can be performed outside of water.

Perfect. Great fit for LSU where he can recruit and not worry about coaching to much. Great for us as we badly need an experienced coach to run our D…

The fact anyone is wanting this to happen is beyond dumb
I’ll bite, if he didn’t receive a pay cutback then I absolutely want this to happen. We don’t have enough money to be paying people that don’t work out. Of course, if his new pay structure allows it would be good to stay (I guess).

our D line sucked, and our defense was horrible. Pretty both objective takes. It’s time to fully move on imo which probably was already done the second he got a demotion, which is obviously understandable.

Absolutely.

Once he was outed as an incompetent defensive coordinator, and justifiably demoted, it was a matter of days, not weeks or months, before he was gone.

Let’s move on as he obviously has.

Waiting to log in and see "_______ named Syracuse DC" anyday now

D was not as bad as people think , off the top of my head We opened against SMU with 3 stops. and then the D faded, Led UNC 10 -6 at Half ( D scored the TD ) Got early stops in the Pitt and Miami games but with 0 offensive support and D faded . You hear coaches talk about complimentary football …….. We were the anti- complimentary team. The ND game the D hadn’t given up a yard and we were killing it on time of possession the first 7 minutes !!! Not saying they were good by any means but heck , look what they faced each week .
we stunk in the first first quarter against the run

pass defense was ok in the 1q but the second quarter , they made qbs look like heisman winners

I mean, I have no inside knowledge of this, but isn't a contracted buyout rare for coordinators/position coaches?
I think they are termination fee or liquidated buy out clauses I"ve seen. Not sure how many have "buyouts'

This stems from a rumor I believe that someone posted online that the only reason Fran demoted ERob was because he had a massive buyout built in for his friend and that’s why he didn’t just fire him.

I don’t believe that is true, but I could be wrong on that.

We need guys who can coach three stars up. We aren't landing enough four stars to carry elite recruiters who can't coach or coordinate.

Agree with this. I said it before, the key to Fran's success will be player development, especially on the lines of scrimmage. That's the case at most schools, but when people see these recruiting rankings they might think instant success.

Our recruiting classes are ranked high for two reasons. 1. Some high end 4-5 star types that have been primarily WR/DBs. 2. High volume of players, and most of them are 3 stars, from high end to mid range in their rating.

The numbers are there to have a good and deep team in upcoming seasons. But how they develop as players will make or break him in this job.

I think if Indiana can run ball on anyone and at one point had 3 starters out, we should too. You have got to be able to move people.

100% the classes have been really good but the majority are solid 3 star prospects that all need to be developed. We aren’t nor will we ever be an SEC type spot.

Have to recruit better and coach better at both line spots. That’s become rather apparent
