Trivia Time:

1. What successful band was Alex Chilton in prior to Big Star?
The Box Tops
I only know that because I saw a screening of a new documentary out this summer on Big Star. I did know the name Alex Chilton before I ever heard Big Star, though, because he produced the first two Cramps albums (well, EP and album).

My Aim is True, one of the best albums of a decade full of great albums, and one of the finest debut albums of all time.
[song: Blame It On Cain]

and Elvis' friend and collaborator Nick Lowe, the Jesus of Cool himself
[song: I Love The Sound of Breaking Glass]

Again, another one that is really Rockpile but credited to Lowe because the most widely known version appeared on his "Labour of Lust" LP
[song: Cruel To Be Kind]
