FHCDM and tension in Buffalo

ESPN reporting Manuel (and Fitzpatrick in Houston) will be on extremely short leashes to start the season.

So there's that Bills fans.

As he should be. I wish Hackett was on a short leash as well. On a team with playoff talent, those are the two weak links. If they step up their game, playoffs should be a realistic goal. If not, Orton is capable of winning games with the talent we have on offense. I'm rooting for EJ though, you can't teach the physical tools he has.

You can add secondary as a weak link... Gilmore out today. If you have a bears receiver on your fantasy team I would advise starting them.

This is the least optimistic I have ever been for a football season :(

Thanks Saint Doug

Bills don't have playoff talent type of roster.

Graham is no slouch. This is why we got him. Let's see how he does.

I'm not encouraged by the way Manuel looked in the preseason but I'm still as excited as ever to start the year - even after 14 years of missing the playoffs!

What was that about a good start?
lol I have to hand it to you. You stand by your guy. Here is a real surprise for you. Even though I think he is an asshat, I root for him. Orange blood means something to me.

Shafer went and got the staff he wanted, he had a deal with all of those guys, he got the band back together.

He definitely got the DC he wanted...but wasn't Hackett a safety choice?

Well all tied going into the fourth, that Manuel Pick was a killer as was the Scott " I constantly up Chandler " 15 yard penalty knocking Buffalo out of field goal range right before half. Would be nice to grab a W here but I have seen this movie to many times to get my hopes up.

Bills have knocked out both Marshall and Jeffrey and two starting Chicago O linemen. So of course there right driving right down the field with Bennett and Forte because Buffalo is down to almost no linebackers. Unreal.

Check that Marshall is back, Schwartz still wont blitz.

Great pick by Kyle Williams on a terrible decision by Cutler. Bills pick up a personal foul horse collar tackle to. Need to put up 6 here. Just to note officiating has been all over the place in this game, two terrible pass interference calls on Buffalo.

Penalties killing Buffalo, had a good pass play called back now second and long.

Darryl Johnston just commented that the media in buffalo has said that Doug's personality has changed from year one to year two. He's not as open or welcoming as he was.

Seems like a pattern to me. He does not deal well with criticism, and his answer to adversity is withdrawing. I also think year 1 Doug is an act and year 2 Doug is closer to who he is. He followed the same transition at SU.

Just my opinion.

Bills about to settle for a field goal try. Great catch By Woods to get them around the red zone. Hacketts called a decent game but some very odd calls on 1st and 2nd down after the big catch.

Bills up 20-17. 4 minutes left. Bears have two timeouts. Buffalo has two as well.

I was wondering about the PI calls on the Bills. I'm listening to Kelso and Murphy on the internet and they said they were bad calls but not sure how impartial they are at times.

They were bad, the second one was a little closer the 1st was absolutely awful.

LOL Chicago completes a third and long pass and the refs throw a holding flag on the Bears and then announce there picking it up. You gotta be kidding me.
