The thing I do not understand is the failure of Autry to look at this holistically. If he was never a coach, Autry would forever be a positive memory for Cuse fans with an impervious legacy. Fans were willing to give him some time as a coach, and even with initial failures the first 2 seasons that wouldn't have done anything negative in that regard. Now? It's over. He has seen the things that has cost this team wins, and still steadfastly refuses to make a single adjustment. There is still no offense, there is still no consistent defensive effort. Why? Why would you willingly do that to your legacy? Everything you needed to improve and adjust was right before your eyes and could have been fixed.
Now it's too late. And it's incredibly sad that someone who is part of the annals of this program's history will forever be remembered like this. And it was avoidable.
