Fla St HAS to be a win.

Don't forget about last year when a winless listless Duke who everybody thought was inept and an automatic win came in to the Dome and ran all over Syracuse. I have been a fan of Syracuse University Football for a very very long time and it's just this programs luck that the team(s) that appear dead always miraculosly rise up the week they play Syracuse and hang a loss on Syracuse. They are going to need to be very diverse on offense to offset a talented Florida State defense. Oh and maybe Rutgers isn't as bad as everyone thinks. Lost by seven at Michigan holding Michigan scorless in the second half.

Would've preferred to play them later in the season when they're really dead in the water, but oh well.
Would build so much momentum going into the 2nd half of the schedule.
Sweet baby Jesus let us win.

.

The win has us all gushing and what we do is get overly hyped, then we lose and Dino getting fired threads proliferate.

Alright, you didn’t have to single me out did you? You nailed it to a tee lol

Harbaugh. And at Wisky next week, look ahead special.

Florida State still has players that played Top 10 Notre Dame to the very end. We’re the ones that got bloodied by Rutgers.

On the road down south is big. Telling week next week.

Oh i hear you, valid points. However this is the type of game we need to, and should win if we are ever going to get to where we want to be. I am not saying we need to blow them out nor am I expecting that. But in a suddenly wide open ACC this is simply a game we have to win. Otherwise it might be time to consider alternatives to the direction the program is being led. And i am not a pitchfork and torch kimd of guy when talking about the leadership of the program.

There’s no better cure for a winless team than to play Syracuse at home the next week. Hate saying it but it’s true.

Also I heard Michigan didn’t even hold practices this week because they knew they were playing an inferior bottom feeding program that hasn’t consistently won since it began playing football following the end of the Civil War.

Notre Dame barely beat Toledo and Rutgers--as much as I hate them--played tough with Michigan. FSU is probably better than 0-4, but they aren't THAT much better.

That doesn't mean I think we'll win, but it does mean that I think we easily could win.

Here is the problem… FSU has a bunch of dudes who can take it to the house on any given play. We are not going to be able to grind out a win against a team with superior talent than us across the board. We need to be able to score to win that game and scoring issue biggest weakness. Our biggest strengths on offense… tucker and shrader’s legs are going to be negated when they go against d-linemen as fast as they are. We need to hit on a few big plays to have a shot.

Many years ago in the distant past, a teenage matinee idol named Tommy DV saved us against FSU, if need by he’ll do it again by gum.

Notre Dame never played Rutgers and they put 31 points on Wisconsin in the 4th quarter with a third-string QB.

I hate them, but they are good. Moreover, we cannot look at many opponents and think automatic win, let alone the talent amassed by FSU.

FSU has no crowd either.. it was an ampty stadium today. But they have a ton of talent if we give them big plays.. They outgained UL today.. Not sure we can make the big play scores since we make so few

We have no guaranteed wins left, but FLA St is a must win if we want to be bowl eligible. I think Wake, Clemson, VT, BC, Pitt and NC state will be tough
You think Liberty was a guaranteed win? We are obviously a lot better than people thought

Our D is much better than Louisville, and we should be able to pressure the hell out of Milton. But, yeah, points are going to be at a premium for us until/if we can get some passing game going
