UPDATED AS OF: 28 Aug 13

Window is now closed to purchase tickets for this group.

If you still want tickets or need more, please let me know and I will put you in touch with my POC at FSU.

Should be able to pay off the tickets by next Friday, which means they will then seat our group and at some point send us the tickets. Will have a better idea of when they will send tickets when I complete the purchase. Once I receive the tickets, my goal is to place everyone with their family/friends. If you have a special request please let me know, I will do my best to honor it. If there is anyone in the group you want to be near or do not want to be near, please let me know...I will do my best to honor that as well.

Once the seating arrangements have been set, I will mail out the tickets to those of you who requested me to mail them to you. The others, I will post the section/seat numbers in this thread and hold on to the tickets until game day.

If you have any questions or need further information, please let me know.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gonna start this thread for those who are planning on attending the FSU game on November 16th. I have a POC at the FSU ticket office and may be able to get reduced/group rate tickets. First need to know the following:

1. If you are attending?
2. How many tickets you will need/want?
3. Are you interested in tailgating?
4. Would you be willing to assist with setting up the tailgate?
5. Would you be willing to bring something for the tailgate?
6. What are you bringing?
7. Will you need a parking pass/space?

I know seems like a lot of questions, but will help with planning. I will use this post to update information/answers to the above questions.

Also, I will use this thread to post information such as ticket prices, purchase by date, tailgate info, etc.

All information will be edited into this post.

___________________________________________________________________

Group Ticket Info/Pricing:

20-49 People: $30/ticket (regular $45)
50-99 People: $25/ticket
100+ People: $20/ticket

Parking will be $40/space. Please click here for information on this parking area.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PAYMENT INFO:

Tickets will be $25 per ticket...however to help defer the cost of extra parking spaces, to setup a nice tailgate area, I am asking for an additional $3 on top of the cost of tickets. This should allow us to get 4 open spaces to set up a central area for everyone to gather. If you can not pay the extra, please let me know. So the total will be $28 per ticket. If there is any extra left over after paying for 4-5 spots, I will use that to purchase food/drinks for the tailgate or just hold onto that for the tailgate for the Syracuse at FSU basketball game early next year.

Parking, as of right now, will be paid directly to the attendant upon arrival on game day. It will be $40 per space, so please plan accordingly.

Each of you should have my mailing address, if not please let me know and I will re-send it to you. You can send me payment via check/money order to my mailing address or send me the money via PayPal. My PayPal account is airforceorange@gmail.com. Send it as a gift and you should not have to pay a surcharge. When sending the money via PayPal please note your Board name.

Finally please let me know ASAP how you are going to pay...via mail (check/money order) or PayPal. Will need payment ASAP so we can finalize our seating.

You have two options: I can hold your tickets for you and give them to you on game day or mail them to you. Please let me know which you prefer.
- Also, If your mailing address has changed since you last sent it to me, please send me a separate PM with your new address. You can post it here if you like, but I know not everyone wants to post their address so everyone can see it. Thank you!!

REMINDER: When sending me payment via PayPal please send as a gift to relative/friend...otherwise a fee will be charged. Thank you!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deadline Dates:

Deadline to send me money: ASAP
- Payment info is above and has been posted, sent and/or e-mailed to everyone who has signed up.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP your payment information so I can confirm you for tickets!!

Thank you!!

** Haven't been to any of those restaurants yet, but I will try to hit at least some, if not all, and post reviews about them in this thread. Also, of course if I discover any other good places other than listed here, I will post as well.

Restaurants I/we have tried with my rating:
Barnacle Bills (http://barnaclebills.com/): 3 out 5 (My Review is another post on this page, below)

Hotel info from JJReddawg:
Also, if anyone is looking to stay outside of Tallahassee, I'd recommend looking at the Best Western Rose City Conference Center Inn or Hoilday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Thomasville, GA.

Flying into Tallahassee can be expensive. Some other regional airports to check out are Panama City, FL; Ft Walton, FL; Dothan, AL. Closest large airports: New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Orlando and Jacksonville (these are anywhere from 5-8 hours drive).

Additional Information:

Check this out: http://www.visittallahassee.com/things-to-do/

Also, Tally is about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs drive from the Gulf Coast...beautiful white sand beaches.

Downside is that the game is November and since the beaches areas are heavily based on tourism, some to a many places may be closed for the season.

Closest major beach town/city is Panama City Beach. However you can take scenic HWY 98 along the Gulf Cost either east or west and go through some nice, quaint beach/fishing towns. Also, there is Seaside, http://www.seasidefl.com/ where The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey was filmed.

If you want to stay somewhere different and memorable try Wakulla Springs State Park. Only two rooms left at the Lodge that weekend. The movie, "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" was filmed there. It is located about 20 miles south of Tallahassee and near the coast.

Greyhound Racing: www.goebro.com/
-Approximately 2 hrs or so from Tally. Just take W. Pensacola, turns into Hwy 20 all the way to Ebro.

IMPORTANT INFO:

One last note: FSU does not allow alcohol in the stadium. Please make sure before leaving the parking lot you do not have any alcohol in your pockets. The police do check at the gates and are very good at spotting people trying to sneak alcohol into the stadium...as my brother-in-law found out last year. If you are caught with alcohol upon entrance or after entering you will be kicked out of the stadium and will have to find another ticket to gain entry. I saw this happen to numerous people while waiting in line at the FSU/Gator game last Novemeber. Prior to all of us leaving the lot for the game I will remind everyone of this.

Bump

AFO has a ticket contact with FSU and should be able to get a group of Cuse fans better seats than what SU will get.

Admins: May I get this tacked please?
Me, BlackKnight, and NailstheCuseFan are probably going to take a roadtrip down but it's too early right now to make any promises 100%. But tentatively saying 3 tickets and we'll bring plenty of alcohol to the tailgate.

Gotcha...updated above. Thank you!!

Copied from other thread:

Went to Tally this weekend to see Duke at FSU...glad we didn't end up making it to the game!! Wife had a migraine and didn't want to deal with large indoor crowd like that. So we went shopping and out for Linner (Late Lunch/Early Dinner).

We ate at Barnacle Bills (http://barnaclebills.com/). Was fairly good (will give my ranking out of five below). Mrs. AFO had the 30 Shrimp Combo (10 steamed, 10 fried, 10 grilled). She really enjoyed and said she would eat that again. I had the Skillet Supreme. This was overall good. Portion was enough to almost fill me up. The scallops, shrimp and Kielbasa (polish sausage) was good. The steak was basically steak tips cut up. The size of the steak pieces were varied, some small, some medium and one large one. The small and medium were cookd fine. However when I cut into the large piece it was completely raw. The outside was browned, but the rest was raw/red. The waitress and manager offered to fix it, but since I was done eating anyways and didn't want to wait, I politely declined. Would have been nice to have a discount on the bill instead, but no offer. Should have asked I guess, but on the other had I feel I shouldn't have to.

Anyways, the atmosphere was nice, very laid back, casual. Basically your typical oyster bar, nothing fancy. Waitress and manager were courteous enough. After talking to me the manager went back and discussed the issue with the cooks. Prices are reasonable. The price for Mrs. AFO's dish was worth it, however I thought $16.99 for mine was a bit much...a price around $12/13 would have been better for that dish.

Overall, was enjoyable and good food...so I give it out of 5:

Florida State:- Last years tickets pricing for groups was 20-50 tickets, $30; 51-100, $25; 100+ $20. Tickets prices should be about the same, may change slightly, but not much if they do change.
- Go here to see where the seating for visitors are (gray areas): http://ev6.evenue.net/evenue/linkID=fsuse/core/seating_charts.html
- I am researching and working on parking for the tailgate. FSU parking is controlled by the Boosters, all other parking is first come, first serve type (people/business selling spots on game day for $20/space type thing)...nothing specifically organized. So I am going to work on contacting and researching some places that can accomodate us.

1. If you are attending?

I plan to.

2. How many tickets you will need/want?

I think the number is going to be 4.

3. Are you interested in tailgating?

Yup.

4. Would you be willing to assist with setting up the tailgate?

Yup. My group is coming from CNY, so we are going to be limited in what we can do (can't being a grill or a canopy, for instance). We can help with set up, break down, clean up, that sort of thing though...

5. Would you be willing to bring something for the tailgate?

Yup.

6. What are you bringing?

I think we will wait a bit, see what others are bringing and look to fill a gap. I think my group is going to be coming up from Orlando, doing a combo golf/football road trip. Still not 100% sure we are going but I should be able to lock in a number in the next week or two.

Yes, most likely.

Just talked to my POC at FSU. He said if we get tickets through him/FSU we should get a little better price and definitely better seats than going through SU. Also, they are expecting group ticket prices to come out soon (within a couple weeks or so).

On a side note, he is graduate of Pittsburgh. Said he was going up to Pitt for the FSU game.

2 tickets, Tailgait hell yes!! Will bring food!

Got you guys updated...thank you.

If pricing is accurate, put me down for 2 tickets (maybe 4, if so, I'll update later). Don't think I'll tailgate, but maybe stop by briefly just to meet some of you guys on here. Don't need a parking pass.

Right now the prices in the first post are based on last year's costs...however don't expect much of an increase, if any, this year. Should get the group costs for tickets in a couple/few weeks.

As soon as we/I figure out where we will be tailgating, will post the location. Problem with FSU is that parking is either controlled by the Booster Club or pay as you go/game day type of deal. Can not get parking set up through the school like other schools...But, we/I have 6-7 months to figure out what we will do.

Will also bring Syracuse cornhole game
